Instructor GuideThese instructional resources were designed to provide community college faculty and industry trainers with the content, presentation slides, lesson plans, and other resources necessary to deliver introductory-level training on Energy Storage. It is designed for flexibility in use with various audiences. For example, these resources may be used to tailor a brief presentation to a group of managers working in the renewable energy industry. Or, they could be used more expansively to provide in-depth instruction to a community college class, acquainting students with the markets and benefits as well as covering the technologies and scientific principals using hands-on learning activities, readings, and quizzes (all provided). These resources were designed to enhance such courses as electrical, renewable energy, and building.

This instructor guide contains lesson plans, activities, readings, and quizzes. Recommendations for how and when each should be used are noted in this side panel throughout the document. The PowerPoint presentation and related key points are located in the adjacent panel throughout. The PowerPoint presentation should be made in the same sequence as presented in this Instructor Guide. The student manual, which will consist primarily of Sections 1-9, will contain the PowerPoint images as well. Presenting them in this order will ensure that students can follow along and take notes.

In addition to the materials created for specifically for this instruction, product-specific information may be included in the Energy Storage Technologies module. This information is intended as examples of storage products currently on the market and should not, in any way, be considered an endorsement.
