Conclusion on first design

It is assumed that zones as garage and pantries (ostave) are not heated. but have only natural ventilation. The same zones with no windows are mechanically ventilated.

Hot water radiator heating, natural ventilation is adopted for heating and cooling. Only several zones in the hause will have split cooling systems powerd by electricity from the grid.

Double and single glazing, reflective, clear, internal blinds, wher double are filled with argon are used for windows which frames are made from aluminium with thermal breaks.

The ascendant lighting bulbs are used for lihting.

The analysed early design of the building in Ljube Jovanovica street No.7 has next fuel breakdown:

In sum, total fuel needs for the house are:

Therefore, the house needs 127.21 kWh/m2 for the heating and cooling of the occupied spaces. It is assumed that zones as garage and pantries (ostave) are not heated. but have only natural ventilation. The same zones with no windows are mechanically ventilated.

It is noticed that boiler room (kotlarnica) which will have gass installation is in the center of the basement withno window. It is highly for recommended that this installation is moved in another part of the basement, for example in the big pantry room which is under the main porch of the building, where natural ventilation can be easily assumed. Namely, standard reauire that no mechanical ventilation is present in the gas boiler room.

OPTIMIZATION

We will start with examining the different configurations of the building externall wall SZ1.

Building SZ1 wall calculations

The number of different solutions on building envelope materials and thicknes [m] based on the poroposed solusion of the outer wall SZ1, with aither GITTER or KLIMA BLOCKS, are examined. The objective function is to lower as much as possible the heat transfer thermal transmittance coefficient U [W/(m2K)]. Examined combinbations are given in Tables 1 and 2.

Different solutions od glazings, SZ1 configurations and air infiltrations

After the initial calculations on which gave us the fuell total consumption of 127.21 kWh/m2 per year, optimisation concerning building envelope and windows, as well infiltration of air in building is examined. The fuel consumption per electricity and gas are for some of the various modifications exmined, are given in Table 1.

Air infiltration stands for the number of total changes of air in the zone per hour. It is only dependent on the quality of finishing works on the building, esspecialy how the openings, that is windows and doors are thight to the external wall. It is extrimelly important that no any whole is present in the region of opening and wall.

Louvres stands for externall sghadings on windows.

Air stands for gap (void) in the sandwich panel in the externall wall.

Best practice stands for externall and internall walls, foors, cielings and roofs which has minimal price for standard energy efficiency, for example class B in energy label.

Conclusion after optimisation

According to the optimisation where two objective functions were total fule consumption and price of the building envelope, the solution 9.4 which gave us the total fule consumption of 88.06 kWh/m2 per year, for minimal extra investment, is chosen as the optimal one.
