This is the total consumption of energy an office can take up in one day, in an office you get charged at different rates during the day and it’s not fair to be charged at a high rate when no one would be using the building, at 6:00am until 6:00pm the power rate is 23.11 per Kwh and at 6:00pm until 6:00 am the rate is 13:01 per Kwh, in this chart I showed the consumption off both peak and the off-peak and the total of both but together, in this certain case the consumption of all the meters put together was 482 units and to work out the cost of this would be:
Cost = (Unit used during peak period) x 0.2311+ (Units used during the off-peak period) x 0.1301+ 0.4778= (482 - 323) x 0.2311 + 323 x 0.1301+ 0.4778= $79.24
Cost (Standard Commercial) = (Unit used during total period) x 0.1805 + 0.4778= 482 x 0.1805 + 0.4778= $87.48
