Abstract
This theme that the author will write in this editorial is based on her clinical observations in the care and treatment
of patients with Down’s syndrome. In the article written by Akhtar and Bokhari (2021) entitled Down Syndrome,
they are saying that this syndrome is a genetic alteration caused the presence of all or only part of the third
chromosome 21. These patients present growth retardation, mild or moderate intellectual disability and
characteristic facial mark. [1]
Key words: down’s syndrome; energy
In this article, the author will show one case of 30 years-old female patient
with Down’s syndrome that lives with her parents and she also had a
boyfriend with Down’s syndrome. The patient had dermatitis in the
abdomen and also had an itchiness in the skin, had a large tongue that
barely fit in her mouth, started to work in a medical cooperative due to a
law in Brazil, so that a company could employ patients with disabilities.
This patient had to be diagnosed in Chinese medicine with Yin deficiency
of the Kidney (because of feeling more Hot sensation) and Blood
deficiency (due to the bowel habit was not daily) and formation of internal
Heat (due to the condition of dermatitis). Also, the physician did the
chakras’ energy measurement of this patient and revealed that all her
chakras’ energy centers were completely deficient in energy (rated one
out eight), with exception of the seventh chakra (spiritual chakra), that
was normal, rated in eight.
The author orientate the patient to avoid some kinds of foods according
to Chinese dietary therapy (avoiding dairy products, raw food, cold water
and sweets. It was also advised the patient to avoid coffee, soda and mate
tea and the last group of foods to avoid was fried foods, eggs, honey,
coconut, alcoholic beverages and melted cheese. She was treated using
acupuncture with apex ear bloodletting and replenishment of the chakras’
energy centers using homeopathic medication, according to the theory
created by the author entitled Constitutional Homeopathy of Five
Elements Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, where the author links
homeopathy medications created by Hahnemann (1755 - 1843), with
traditional Chinese medicine’s reasoning. Using this theory, the physician
can treat the root of all problems at the same time (that are the energy
imbalances between Yin, Yang, Qi and Blood) , that are normally
produced and distributed by the five internal massive organs. [2, 3]
The theory of balancing the internal energy to achieve cure of most
diseases at the same time was presented in an Acupuncture Research
Conference that was held in Harvard Medical School, in Boston, United
States, in 2015, where the logic of the study was that if the physician treats
the energy imbalances between Yin, Yang, Qi and Blood of the patients,
all the clinical emotional and physical symptoms and diseases will be
treated at the same time. [2, 3]
What we see in the characteristics of Down’s syndrome patients is that
they can be characterized as a mental deficit. In the article written by
Dykens (2007) entitled Psychiatric and behavioral disorders in persons
with Down syndrome, she is saying that these patients have broad
intellectual disabilities and there is a gap between the treatment of this
kinds of mental health associated with Down’s syndrome. [4]
In this article, the author will show another point of view regarding the
treatment of conditions associated with Down’s syndrome, rebalancing
the internal energy using Chinese dietary counseling, auricular
acupuncture with apex ear bloodletting and replenishing the energy of all
internal organs, with highly diluted medication, such as homeopathies
according to Constitutional Homeopathy of the Five Elements Based on
Traditional Chinese Medicine and replenishing these energies, and the
author will show an improvement of the patient’s physical, mental,
emotional aspects and also in the intellectual level. [2]
In the article written by Lott (2013) entitled Neurological phenotypes for
Down syndrome across the life span, she is saying that patients with
down’s syndrome have neuroanatomic alterations such as alterations in
the gross brain structure characterized as microdysgenetic alterations. [5]

The treatment of energy deficiency in these patients with Down syndrome
brought more intelligence, better mental, physical, fitness to face all
obstacles at work, in competitions in the sport that she was doing
(swimming) and more balance to face and solve everyday problems. [2,
3]
The use of homeopathic medicines according to the Constitutional
Homeopathy of the Five Elements Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine
, has been a very important tool to give life to these patients, just as the
world population also have intense chakras’ energy centers deficient in
energy, who are in a condition of extremely lack of energy from the 5
internal massive organs (Kidney, Liver, Heart, Spleen, Lung), as Huang
(2021) wrote in the article entitled Energy Alterations and Chakras’
Energy Deficiencies and Propensity to SARS-CoV-2 Infection. [2, 6]
In addition to energy replenishment of the chakras’ energy centers, the
author always reorients the patients with Down’s Syndrome nutrition,
according to Chinese dietary therapy, to avoid ingesting various foods,
with the purpose of improving the absorption of nutrients that is normally
the responsibility of Spleen and pancreas meridian , that are normally not
usually balanced (fifth chakra), causing the malabsorption of all the
nutrients that the patient is ingesting, causing to a less Blood production,
leading to the deficiency of the other massive internal organs, which
depend on this absorption of nutrients of the Spleen-pancreas. [2, 3]
By balancing and strengthening the five massive internal organs of the
patient with Down’s syndrome, the patient can have more physical,
mental and spiritual health and also improve their intelligence, which is
governed by the Kidney (second chakra) and thus have a more balanced
and healthy state. [7]
Through this case reported in this editorial, we can show that often,
patients with Down syndrome are rated as lacking in intelligence, lack of
energy to exercise their physical, mental and intellectual activities and are
often rated as those caused by the disease syndrome itself of Down
syndrome. But actually, there are natural forces within that patient's body
that are out of balance and that are causing the symptoms of these patients.
These imbalances and energy deficiencies probably have, as one of the
factors, the influences of other things existing in the environment in which
the patient lives, such as the influences of electromagnetic radiation that
are generating changes in the energy of the physical body of these
patients, and leading to these consequences, which are often labeled as
caused by the disease itself. The treatment of these energy imbalances
shows us that there is an improvement in these symptoms in these
patients, which were often said to be caused by the Down’s syndrome
disease, but there are other energies that make up the physical and mental
body of the patient, who are disabled, and that we can act to improve the
quality of life of these patients. [3, 8].
The author does not yet know that if the energy deficiencies found in these
patients would be the cause of the alterations that predisposed them for
the formation of chromosomal alteration, or that the patients presented
these alterations after having already had a genetic alteration. So, more
studies using more patients in these analysis need to be done in order to
understand deeply what is happening in patients with Down’s syndrome,
in the energy point of view, that we do not know and understand yet. [4]
According to Hippocrates (460 bce - 375 bce), natural forces within us
are the true healers of the disease. According to him, we need to treat the
patient (energy imbalances) and not just treating the diseases ( that is the
Down’s syndrome). [9]
