We both work for AIESEC, an international, non-for-profit, youth-led organization which has its national headquarter in Bern and eight local chapters around Switzerland. I started working with Mr. Verduyn when I was the Head of Human Resources on the national board of AIESEC in Switzerland. During that term, Mr. Verduyn was responsible for Human Resources in AIESEC in Lausanne. He eventually became my successor and he is workins on the national board since July 2015. Mr. Verduyn is currently executing the role of Head of HR and Organizational Development for AIESEC in Switzerland, therefore he is responsible for the development almost 400 members that we have in AIESEC in Switzerland. What I admire the most about Mr. Verduyn as a person and also as a co-worker is his passion for the personal and professional development of people and his drive to develop innovative ideas to support people to discover and unleash their potential. He became a specialist in HR processes due to his eagerness to learn, either due to testing new ideas or through learning from others, for example from Heads of HR in AIESEC abroad. Furthermore, he developed strong training and facilitation skills, has done agenda management and conference management for our national conferences (300+ delegates) and developed his team management skills. A11 of these skills are highly valuable when working in HR, as all of this is about how to engage people in the best way possible and teach them something valuable for themselves as well as for the organization they work in. Mr. Verduyn is fulfilling all his tasks to my fullest satisfaction, he is engaging the people around them, makes them understand the value of optimizing HR processes and having a focus on people in an organization as workers that are valued will always bring greater results as the ones that don't seem to be as valued and recognized. Having this in mind, Mr. Verduyn has done an outstanding job to drive a high performing culture inAIESEC in Switzerland and among its members.
