We would value any requests you have in regards to your ideal job board. If you would be interested in this complimentary service and or advertising a job vacancy within your practice please send all enquiries to Michelle Rafton [email protected]

New Travelling Patients TabAt the endodontic group, we strive to make receiving treatment as easy and convenient as possible for country and travelling patients. We are expanding our branch practice locations to cater for a wider patient base.

Quite often, treatment can be completed in one appointment. We can provide patients in advance an estimate of costs (as best as we can upon receiving radiographs and a referral letter from you).

DID YOU KNOW...FACT• 36% of all endodontic litigation claims relate to failed treatment.

RISK MANAGEMENT TIPS1. Choose your case carefully – make a diagnosis – if it’s not an entity

that is resolvable, don’t treat it; if not sure, refer for a second opinion,

if beyond your expertise level, refer for treatment.

2. Use rubber dam – always

3. If a root canal system is not completely treatable as a result of calcified canals or pulp

chamber, DO NOT simply close it up and advise “We’ll see how it goes” just because it’s asymptomatic.

Best practice means offering your patient a specialist consultation, to see if indeed it is treatable.

It is folly to allow ego to get in the way of sound care. It is an often seen mistake to impose our

own value systems on our patients ie. Assuming they won’t want a particular modality of treatment

because of cost factors.

Regardless of where a patient lives, or their apparent status, a “best practice” offer should be made

to optimise outcomes. Failure to do so puts the practitioner at risk of litigation should a patient

subsequently find out a better alternative was available and not offered.

4. Do not criticize another colleague’s efforts – there are often extenuating circumstances of which you

are not aware.
