To the environment minister,The Tasmanian Devil has only recently been classified as "endangered". Up until 2008 the Tasmanian Devil was listed as "vulnerable". The Tasmanian Devils used to cover all of Australia but now they are only found in Tasmania. Dingoes are one of the reasons that the Tasmanian Devils are becoming less common. Tasmanian Devils and dingoes would have fought for the same type of food. Another reason is that the farmers thought that the Tasmanian Devil used to eat their animals and they used to hunt them. That is how the Tasmanian Tiger became extinct. The biggest reason is the Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD). More than 90% of the Tasmanian Devils have been wiped out because of DFTD. Road kills are also another tragic reason. Some things we can do to stop the Tasmanian Devils from going into extinction is we can donate to the Save the Tasmanian Devil program. Run a fundraiser and donate the money to programs that help the Tasmanian Devils. Sponsor an event that is supporting the Tasmanian Devils or can become a partner of the Save the Tasmanian Devils program.
