A NEW Rampart Tradition
Seniors in good academic standing have the opportunity to audition to deliver a speech at graduation on the school-appropriate topic of their choice. Students wishing to audition should prepare an original piece no more than 2.5 minutes in length. We are looking for a dynamic, creative, original and inspirational piece, to add to our commencement program.
continued
Auditions will be held on Monday April 14th
Students must email Ms. Mostica at: [email protected] to schedule an audition time
Graduation Practice Tuesday, May 20th at 3:30pm. All graduates are expected by
3:00 p.m. to line up. Enter through the North Gate and bring an ID!
Held at Clune Arena. Takes about 2 hours. REQUIRED PARTICIPATION in order
to walk during the actual ceremonies. *Athletes required to participate in state championships will be addressed individually.
Graduation Day Wednesday, May 21st at 6
p.m. Graduates are required to
be there by 5 p.m. to line-up.
Seating for graduates will be mostly in alphabetical order. No tickets are required for graduation.
Graduation Day This will be a student-
focused graduation, so there will be a variety of student speakers.
Ceremonies should last between 1 ½ and 2 hours.
Please be respectful of each graduate and their families.
Graduates who are disruptive during the ceremonies will be removed.
Graduation Day Guests are asked to not
bring noise makers out of respect to all graduates.
Each graduate earned his/her spot on the floor in his/her own way and that should be valued by all guests who attend the ceremonies.
The commencement exercise is a serious academic ceremony for students, their families, and friends.
Graduation notes… Please respect the
dignity of the ceremonies. It is planned so that ALL who attend enjoy their special graduation moments.
Graduation is a right but participating in the actual ceremonies is a privilege.
Enjoy this final event as a member of the Rampart High School Class of 2014!
A STUDENT WON’T PARTICIPATE IN THE CEREMONY IF. . .
He/she has not earned enough credits (in all the correct areas) to graduate.
He/she failed to properly check out and have all fines paid.
He/she missed Senior Breakfast/Torch Assembly or graduation practice.
He/she was suspended or involved in a senior prank that would cause concern about the student’s conduct in the ceremony.
Food For Thought There are approximately 9 weeks
of school left – now is NOT the time to compromise your work ethic!
Colleges do require end of year transcripts and can and have rescinded acceptances due to poor academic performance senior year.
Employers do request transcripts and/or recommendations based on attendance and academic performance.
Events are a Privilege!
Warning: Students who demonstrate inappropriate behavior risk missing senior events!
