Encrypt Email: Use word Encrypt anywhere in the subject line will encrypt the email.

Decrypt the encrypted JMS email

A message that is encrypted by Office 365 Message Encryption is delivered to a recipient’s inbox just like any other email message, but it contains an HTML file attachment. After opening the attachment, the recipient can sign in to their existing MS account, or use a one-time passcode to view the message on the Office 365 Message Encryption portal. The outline below includes instructions for viewing the encrypted message first using the one time passcode and then with a MS account:

Double click the html

This prompts the log in screen- select one time passcode

Log in screen appears – wait for the email with the passcode

Copy / past your code into the passcode field (If you have multiple encrypted email you can identify which passcodes go with which email based on the reference code. NOTE THE TIME LIMIT

Click continue once the passcode is inserted

View your message. There are reply capabilities on the right

For accounts other than the MS exchange (such as gmail, hotmail, yahoo) you will have to ‘download’ or ‘save’ the message

1) Save message.html file or download

2) Open the message.html

3) Click use one time passcode.

4) Get the one time passcode

5) Enter the Passcode and click Continue to decrypt the email.
