For children completing Grades K-5 & their 4 and 5 yr. old siblings

as we learn what it means to follow Jesus!

Tell your friends and spread the word. June 26th-30th is going to be a great week and you

don't want to miss it!

This summer's underground adventure following the Light of the World is approaching quickly. If you

have not signed up to help out, please contact Cynthia Keen ([email protected]) and let her know

how you can help.

Our Vision…

To be a praying church that EXALTS His name in worship, EQUIPS His church for spiritual growth, and ENGAGES His world through local and global missions.

A War on Worry

Charles Swindoll asked, “Did you know that worry erases the promises of God from your

mind?” Jesus taught the people in Matthew 6:31 not to be anxious about life. He said not to

worry about what we are going to eat or wear – two of our most basic needs. The Lord en-

couraged Joshua, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed,

for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

We can claim the promise that God will take care of our needs. It may not be in our own tim-

ing. It may not be the way we would have done it. Timothy Keller recently tweeted, “Worry

is when you do not believe God will get it right.”

God has already taken care of our greatest need. We needed to be cleansed from all our sin and set free from sin’s

curse. We are forgiven, through the cross of Jesus the Son of God, of every sin we have ever or will ever commit.

Take it to the Lord in prayer. He loves and cares for you.

During the month of June, you’ll have the opportunity to sign

up for Ministry Teams that God has equipped you for! Even if

you’re already serving on Teams here at TCBC, this is your

way of telling us that you’d like to continue on next year.

Thus, we need everyone in our church to fill out your

“Ministry Plan” during the month of June. This year you can

fill out your “Ministry Plan” on our church website!

Each Sunday one or more Ministry Groups will promote, in-

form, and recruit people to serve on their Teams. If you’re in-

terested in any of these Teams, please visit with these leaders

to learn more! Keep in mind that when you sign up online via your “Ministry Plan”, you’re making a commitment

to serve for the ministry year starting September 1, 2016 until August 31, 2017. Thank you for serving Christ

Jesus through this local church!

our New Members

Dear Tega Cay Baptist Church,

Our heartfelt thanks to many of you who sent cards or spoke your shared sorrow to us with

the recent death of Becky's Mom. Thanks also for the gift in Mom's name to the Gideon's;

both Mom and Dad have been active in the Gideon's for some years, so your gift was espe-

cially appropriate. We do not grieve as those who have no hope, but this journey is easier to

walk with a church family beside us!

Thank you

Parents' Night Out/Service Night for Children

Saturday, June 4 from 5-8pm.

Pizza will be served, and the children will participate in a service project

and enjoy some fun games and fellowship. At this time, we only have enough

volunteers to invite preschool children that are potty-trained - 5th grade.

We would like to make this a quarterly event, so if you would be willing to

serve, even if only once a year, that would be great (we provide dinner for

the children and the volunteers!). Contact Melissa Burgess at

[email protected] if you are interested in helping out.

A Note from the Library

Plans are underway to purchase new materials for the Church Library at the end of June

for the following year. To meet the needs of the TCBC church family, the Library Ministry

Team is looking for suggestions from you. If you drive or travel for work and would like

to listen to Christian books on CD's or DVD's; we would like to hear from you. Home

Group leaders or Bible Study leaders; are there video series your group would be inter-

ested in studying, etc? We value your input so we can purchase items that will be used.

Please contact Linda Wall at [email protected] or call 440-387-2484 or Monica Laws

at [email protected] or 704-557-6716 with your suggestions.

Sunday Night Live

Semester Challenge Reward Fun Night

There were eight children who memorized both the fall and spring Semester Challenges in SNL this year.

Because of the hard work, they enjoyed an evening of fun at Adventure Landing in Pineville. We had a

great time playing putt-putt, riding go-karts and bumper boats, eating pizza and playing arcade games.

Sunday Morning Volunteers Needed

We still have room on our Sunday Morning Worship Hour team for several more vol-

unteers to join our ministry to our precious little ones. If you or someone you know

might enjoy a little play time or sharing a story with our preschoolers and babies once a

month or as a substitute, please let Pastor Matt or Cynthia Keen know and we will get

you plugged in!
