With Christ as our foundation, PASSPORT empowers students to encounter Christ, embrace community and extend grace to the world.

P A S S P O R T MATTERSThank you for supporting PASSPORT this year —either through attendance at a PASSPORT program, readership of d365.org, or a contribution to our ministry. We are excited to share all that God has given us as we ministered to students and through those students to their local and global communities this year!

We believe PASSPORT Matters to the future of the church. PASSPORT is raising up the next generation of Christian students who are leading us into the future.

PASSPORT has a particular voice, honed over 24 years of student ministry. Our voice helps this generation shape and claim their faith and put that faith into transformational action. Our voice teaches an ‘eyes-open’ discipleship that embraces the world in all of its diversity as a beautiful and blessed creation of God.

Thank you for the ways you have joined in making PASSPORT Matter.

At PASSPORT we embrace community in all its forms—church groups, the community of camp, and the communities we learn about and serve each week.

Meet Miss Constance. PASSPORTmissions campers have been serving alongside her for four summers. Cardinal Village is one of several dozen ministry sites we partner with each summer. They work with 75+ children and their families providing parenting classes, meals for children, summer day camp activities, and more. All activities are coordinated by Constance Covington, who originally started with Kool-Aid and a children’s book checked out from the library. Constance is well known around Danville for her volunteer work throughout the community and now serves on the Danville Housing Authority Board. The children of Cardinal Village look forward to seeing PASSPORT’s campers and making friends from many places all summer long. Even in a short week, together we create community through our volunteering at Cardinal Village.

F A I T HMATTERSWe take students’ spiritual formation seriously and provide a safe place to ask the hard questions about faith.

• We believe that God can use students’ voices, gifts, and dreams to heal the world.

• We believe that we are all created in God’s image.

• We believe that God’s word is a guide for our paths.

• We believe that students need opportunities to put faith into action.

• We believe that students can be leaders, right now.

Our team works throughout the year to craft Bible studies, worship services, and thoughtful activities that shape the faith of your students—often in profound and life-changing ways.

In addition to our summer programming, we provide a daily, online devotional experience produced with students in mind. d365.org has offered online devotionals every day for over 10 years. Our recently launched iOS app brings d365 into the hands of our on-the-go readers. This past year our website and app had over 2.2 million visits and the app was downloaded over 80,000 times.

L E A D E R S H I PMATTERSPASSPORT offers college and graduate students the chance to lead in a safe and nurturing environment. Every PASSPORT summer staffer is a leader in training, and by offering mentorship, trust, and leadership, PASSPORT invests in their future. Our campers love that our summer staffers are accessible and willing to be honest and vulnerable about their faith, struggles, and dreams.

Meet Wyahee Tucrkile, a Bible Study Leader on the 2016 PASSPORTmissions team from Domingo Hills, California, studying at California State University.

“PASSPORT is heaven on Earth. When you come to camp, you leave everything else behind you and serve wholeheartedly. It is exactly what life should be like.” - Wyahee Tucrkile

Meet Jeffrey Dunkerley, Mission Project Coordinator on the 2016 PASSPORTmissions team. He is a student at Candler School of Theology.

“It was at PASSPORT I felt the call to ministry and was surrounded by a community of fellow staffers that helped me talk out this new calling in my life.” - Jeffrey Dunkerley

Meet Rebekah Gordon, Bible Study Leader and 5 Things Choice Leader from the PASSPORTchoices team this past summer. Rebekah is a student at Campbell Divinity School.

“PASSPORT is a place that has taught me so much about what being a Christ follower looks like. Even more, Passport empowered me not only to follow Christ, but to equip others to do the same. Without worrying about my age or gender or background, Passport empowered me to be a minister because they know that a minister can come in many different forms.” - Rebekah Gordon

PASSPORT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry started 24 years ago by four friends right out of graduate school with a simple idea: to build a Christian discipleship camp where every camper could turn their faith-learning into practical action. True to its name, that simple idea has taken PASSPORT around the world. We have hosted over 100,000 campers from 1,100 congregations. These campers have combined for over 1,000,000 hours of community service in the name of Christ and given over $1.8 million to global causes.

Our ministry’s longevity comes from careful accountability provided by our national staff, a youth and a children’s advisory committee, and our board of directors. We are grateful they hold us accountable to our mission and support us through their gifts of time and resources.

Registration income covers about 73% of expenses, which means we rely on grants and donations to cover our costs. In addition, last summer 20 churches applied for scholarships for 153 students. Underwriting the cost of camp is an effort to keep camp affordable for economically diverse students.

Two years ago PASSPORT launched its first national capital campaign called PASSPORT Matters with an audacious $1.5 million goal. To date, we are pleased to report that we have gifts and pledges that total over $1.1 million!

One focus this year has been a staff alumni campaign. We reached out to former staffers and challenged them to support our campaign. Over 100 of these young professionals, ministers, and students pledged over $72,000!

Meet former staffer and current donor, Valerie Lott. Valerie was a camper, then worked four summers as a staffer, and is currently a Divinity School student. Watch a video about why she is supporting the PASSPORT Matters campaign at passportcamps.org/matters

Many individuals, churches, and foundations have contributed to our campaign, and we are grateful! But there is room for you to join their ranks, staking a claim that PASSPORT Matters.

To join this campaign, you can donate online at passportcamps.org/donate
