Proposal Summary Concept

We have chosen our city shape to be symmetrical

for the sole convenience of managing spaces within

the city.

The shape itself is not designated to serve a

complex purpose, instead it is so, simply because it

is simple. We believe that is the best to keep our

city design simple but sufficient to serve its

purpose as a city. Hence, simplicity is key.

Location

Our proposed city is located in Western Penang. In an area,

called Balik Pulau. ( Coordinate 5’23’03.1°N 100’11’46.3°E)

Aim & Focus

Our city is designed to accommodate International Affairs that

revolves around business, commercial aspects, imports and

exports, tourism and even managing influx of migrants and

refugees. Our city function in such as a way that not only we

allow immigrations of non local to sat and provide them with

good standard of living but we also encourage said immigrants to

be independent individuals that are able and capable to find

employment and would eventually able to support themselves as

citizens of the city. This can be achieved through providing

them with proper and sufficient education that are essential in

broadening their skill sets. Along with providing the education

for potential employment opportunities, once they do find

employment they will be given incentives for their service to

contributes to the city’s infrastructure. Incentives such as

healthcare, education for their kids and better standard of

living.

Population

Our city’s population consist of at least 20%

migrants and refugees and the rest are locals. If

the immigrant population increases over a certain

limit, they will be transferred to a different

location, preferably a completely different city or

any other areas that will accept the influx of

people. Areas such as towns, villages, the

countrysides or even back to concentration camps.
