Enables users to monitor and control multiple Hitachi projectors from a single iPad. The Projector Quick Connection app include four pages: Projector, Contents, Control and Settings. Projector: Selecting the Projector page brings up an icon for every Hitachi projector connected to the iPad, with each projector’s IP address listed with the corresponding icon. Users can connect to any of them at any time by simply clicking the corresponding icon. Projectors must be equipped with a USB wireless adapter to connect to the iPad. Contents: The Contents page allows users to display content from their iPad onto their selected Hitachi projector. This includes documents, pictures and web pages. Control: The Control page provides access to control functions for each projector — it’s like having a remote control on your iPad. Functions include Standby/ On, Audio Mute, Blank and Freeze. The input source selection area allows users to choose from two com- puter ports, two USB ports, HDMI, Video, S-Video and LAN. Settings: The Settings page provides access to advance functions including Display mode, which allows either full Image mode or 4 iPads mode (which can display content from up to 4 iPads at the same time). Presenter mode enables the user to invite others to present or prevent another iPad from connecting to the projector. To use this application, optional USB Wireless Adapter (USBWL11N) is required. Hitachi Projector Quick Connection iPad® App Product Information

Getting Started

1. Go to the Apple® App StoreSM. You can find the free app by using the following key words or the title of the app:

A. Projector (it takes some searching)

B. Hitachi Consumer Electronics

C. Projector Quick Connection (title)

2. Download the app on to your iPad

3. Be sure the optional Hitachi USB wireless adapter (USBWL11N) is installed on the projector

4. Connecting by ADHOC mode (peer to peer) with DHCP on

Projector Settings

First, go to ADVANCED MENU, then NETWORK, then WIRELESS SETUP.

Check if the DHCP is set to ON. If it’s OFF, please change to ON.

Go to WIRELESS INFORMATION.

Check if the MODE is set to ADHOC. If it’s INFRASTRUCTURE, please go to the WIRELESS SETUP and change it to ADHOC.

Check what is set for your SSID. For the default, the WIRELESS is set.

Please check the IP ADDRESS. When the DHCP is ON, the IP ADDRESS will automatically be allocated. For example as 169.254.200.17.

If the IP ADDRESS is showing 0.0.0.0, please wait momentarily until it is allocated.

iPad Settings

Click SETTINGS, and choose Wi-Fi.

Click the projector’s SSID, for example wireless shown in [Choose a Network...].

Click the right arrow.

Please check if DHCP is chosen. If not, please click on the DHCP.

When the DHCP is ON, the IP ADDRESS will automatically be allocated. For example as 169.254.30.244.

If nothing is shown on the IP ADDRESS, please go back to the Wi-Fi NETWORK, wait momentarily, and click the right arrow again.

Click the PJ Connection icon.

The orange icon with the name of the projector and IP address will be shown in the Select Projector screen.

Wait 15 to 20 seconds before opening the app or the projector icon will not appear.

Click this icon, and the color will change to blue.

Now you can go to the Control tab or the Content tab.

The first time you connect your iPad and projector the projector needs to be on.

After your successful first launch you will be able to turn on the projector via the iPad.
