What is Common collector Amplifier ?

It is bipolar junction transistor (BJT)

Common collector amplifier has collector common to both input and output.

In this circuit the base terminal of the transistor serves as the input, the emitter is the output, and the collector is common to both.

The common collector amplifier is also called “Emitter Follower” because the input signal is coupled to the base, and the output signal is taken the emitter.

Application of CC Amplifier

CC Amplifier is current or power amplifier.

CC Amplifier is used for impedance matching.

The step up impedance is the major advantages of CC amplifier, Small load resistance that would overload CE amplifier can be used CC-amplifier because it step up the impedance and prevent from overloading.
