FUEL TANKUninterrupted touring is provided by the long-range 23-liter fuel tank thanks to the low fuel consumption of the 1290 engine. Going further than any sports tourer has ever gone before – is what this tank was designed to do.

Keep your visor locked. This V-twin beauty is blindingly fast with the ability to rip up every road you put in its way, no matter how far away it lies. Hug the corners and pin it on the straights, hold tight and let loose.

SEMI-ACTIVE SUSPENSIONExperience new levels of comfort and safety with the WP semi-active suspension, offering different damping modes (comfort, street and sport) as well as a suspension-control unit (SCU) that adapts the damping rates in real-time to the riding surface and rider, based on the information provided by a set of stroke sensors and accelerometers. On top, there are four modes to suit the bike’s load.

CRUISE CONTROLSwitches at the throttle grip and a display in the VDO cockpit unit let the rider intuitively set and change the requested speed for those long-distance rides. This allows you to relish the thrill of the open road.

TIRE-PRESSURE MONITORINGSYSTEM (TPMS)In the unlikely case of tire damage, the tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) will instantly alert the rider of pressure loss. Every bit of this insane bike is as incredibly safe as it is powerful!

COCKPITThe multi-functional VDO cockpit display unit was designed for the split seconds where you can muster up the courage to take your eyes off the road.

MODE SWITCHThe computer’s on-board menu pages are selected and operated using four control keys on the mode switch, positioned on the left handlebar grip. It’s simple and intuitive: “up” and “down” through the menu selection, select the desired item with the left button, confirm it with the right – job done!

LED CORNERING LIGHTSThe first sports tourer with LED cornering lights, they’re integrated into both sides of the fuel tank and consist of three LED segments. The illumi-nation adjusts to the lean angle and ensures the rider always has a clear view in the bends.

BRAKESThe faster you go the quicker you need to stop. Two radially-mounted BREMBO monoblock-fixed calipers with 320 mm twin-disc brakes provide stopping power in the front while supporting the rear wheel, which features a 240-mm-diameter disc and a two-piston BREMBO caliper.

CHASSISThe KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE GT’s stable, lightweight trellis frame and ultra strong, single-sided swingarm provide exceptional stability and control. The addition of a longsubframe ensures the most stable yet agile sports tourer chassis on the market.

HILL HOLD CONTROL (HHC)Optional HHC guarantees a smooth departure every time you pull away – as it prevents the motorcycle from rolling backwards, even on steep inclines. Once the bike identifies that it’s on a slope or at a standstill, this function keeps the brakes locked until the bike starts moving forward.

ENGINEThe KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE GT engine is derived from the ferociously powerful KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R’s 1,301 cc V-twin engine, with a 127 kW (173 hp) hit, clearly setting the benchmark for sports tourers with the most powerful V-twin engine in the segment. Massive torque and extremely smooth throttle-control are guaranteed with this Beast!

MOTORCYCLE TRACTIONCONTROL (MTC)This cutting-edge technology allows the power delivery to be precisely adjusted according to lean-angle and the selected ride mode, for extreme powering through corners.

MOTOR SLIP REGULATION (MSR)The optional MSR is an intuitive feature that communicates with the ride-by-wire system to keep the throttle open as much as needed to reduce engine braking in the event of abrupt deceleration.

RIDE BY WIREThe ride-by-wire system electronically translates the throttle commands of the rider into optimum throttle-valve positions for the exact riding situation.

QUICKSHIFTERThe KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE GT is equipped with a race-derived quick-shifter. It allows upshifts to be made under any load without using the clutch, which gains precious time that would otherwise be wasted in closing the throttle. And that would be a pity.
