THE BAND

• Tool is an American rock band, they became a band in 1990, Los Angeles California is were they really progressed. There are four members; Danny Carey, drummer, Justin Chancellor, bassist, Adam Jones, guitarist and Maynard James Keenan, singer

Tool in the beginning

• Tool began playing at a time when thrash metal dominated their slam and bang heavy-metal sound.

• As tool progressed they headed the alternative metal movement.

Where is Tool going in the future of music?

• The band's sound is comparable to many different sounds; it makes it difficult to put their music in a specific genre aggravating factors like abstract lyrics and music videos witch have even been censored.results in an inability to decide about what course to follow in the music industry.

• Tool is still however critically acclaimed and releases albums that have topped the charts in several countries

Tool’s 1st BIG GIG• Tool released their first

full-length album in 93’. Lots of heads turned their attention to tools wild sound.

• They were hired to play Lollapalooza, the band quickly moved to main stage because of their prowess and power.

Who are the band members of Tool

• Adam Jones is the guitarist of tool, he started in Libertyville, Illinois. Instead of being involved with sports as a young boy he immersed himself in music. Adam is also is a very talented multimedia artist and helps with the band’s music videos.

• Danny Carey grew up in Paola, KS. Danny started playing drums at the age of thirteen. He went through high school and into college to continue his studies of percussion. He ended up moving to LA and playing around the city with a couple different bands until he discovered tool and realized his full potential as a player.

• Justin chancellor born in England, as a youth he played soccer with friends and siblings.he started playing the bass at fourteen. And joined a band called peach which covered for tool on several occasions in England.when tool needed a bass player he went to La and joined tool.

• Maynard James Keenan hailing from Ravenna Ohio is the lead singer of tool, he went to LA in the early 90’s Maynards lyrics are deep, they have under tones of anger and and introspect the grim melodies have continued to evolve as Tool continues with their music careers

10,000 days & Aenima

• 10,000 days is Tool’s newest album and also the only one I own and judging from this music it is one of the better of the albums however it my not have been the most popular.

• Anemia was a popular album and had hits like stink-fist, forty six&2, eulogy and Aenima. These are the first songs I heard done by tool and I would say this is the most popular album but not necessarily the best.

• Tool has played in tons of different tours and venues, in their first beginnings they were such a hit the played Lollapalooza!
