Background
India – Fast becoming a destination for Investment Banksand BSFI ITES companies
25+ global banks are expected to recruit 1.25 million in 3-4 year,
50+ BFSI KPO organizations
Sector witnessing employment growth rate of 15%
Center for Monitoring of Indian Economy (CMIE), there are currently nearly 31 million unemployed Indians looking for Jobs.
Current estimates show that less than 20% graduates passing out of Universities across the country, are employable.
In context of the BFSI industry, these numbers are far lesser due to lackspecialized domain skills and knowledge.
10
Industry and Recruitment
Lack of skilled manpower is one of the biggest constraint, which companies are
facing in scaling up.
Companies are not able to build effective work force which will help build client
relationships, cross sell, up sell or get client references
Lack of specific domain training prevents companies from capturing larger wallet
share of clients.
Ready to perform employee – short training cycle .
Servicing team is not able to resolve client queries efficiently leading to customer
discontentment.
Front end employees lack knowledge of
operational aspects leading to higher ratio of
form rejections and higher turn around time
11
Problem Statement
1.25 Million expected Recruitment in Investment Banking Back office operations
in 2-3 Years.
The challenge is finding the right candidate.
An average graduate is unable to meet the selection criteria of most employer
Lack of domain specific knowledgeLack of Job skills
The MBAs are far more employable – an estimated 43%
Distorting salaries
Post graduate students who have relevant foundation knowledge
Do Not find these jobs aspirational, hence result in high attrition
