    Front End Tool: Visual Basic .Net 2005 Version.

    Back End Tool: Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

    Project detail:Objectives:

    The objective behind developing enterprise organizer is to maintain

    the hierarchy of the employees within an organization. It provides the manger

    and administrative department an overall hierarchical view of the complete

    enterprise and helps them in managing employees.

    Description:

    Our Organization has many managers, who are responsiblefor all the activities in the organization. These managers manage

    different aspects of the organizational management issues, such as

    manufacturing, production, Marketing, etc; one such essential

    management issue is Employees Resource Organizer. As years

    progressed, the approach of the management changed towards the

    human capital. Now Hierarchical Organization is part of every

    organization, and has its own identity and importance. In this

    scenario, the bigger organizations need to put lot of effort in the

    management of human Resources, as they are underlying capital

    asset to the organization. In doing so, along with times, the

    Organization Information changed from its basic operations to more

    strategic approach.Some of the features are:

    1. Employee Address Book:

    When any applicant come for interview, he/she have to registerto receptionist.

    If any new candidate applying for job, then receptionist fill allcandidate information including resume in job candidate table.

    Then HR MANAGER get all information about candidate &check history of previous 6 month interview, if candidate wasnot applied

    in last six month, then manager give him interview date and onthat particular date he takes interview of new job candidateaccording to vacancy in organization & recruits the jobcandidate at specific department.

    This module also contain whole information or detail of existing& previous employees within an organization.

    Employee also see own all information or own profile from thissystem. Employee can only change his login password but notmodify any detail only see it.

    2. Employee Performance System:

    This module measure the performance of employees

    Increment and bonus will depend on performance base

    By using this module Manager decide salary increment andperformance incentive.

    It will help the manager to count yearly performance bonus ofeach employees of each department

    Manager check performance of employee from performancemaster and depending on performance will give promotion tothe next level.

    Administrator check performance and submit to the topmanagement of company as annual report of employeesperformance department wise.

    3. Employees billing System:[ date wise/ month wise/ year wise]

    This module contain the detail of employees salary

    This will help the account manager to measure incentive &yearly performance bonus

    This module count extra working hours of employees & addovertime salary

    It will count gross salary & deduct the P.F

    It will add DA TA HRA & medical allowance according to gradeof employees

    It will generate date wise/month wise/year wise salary ofemployees

    4. Employees annual report System:

    This module contain various reports of employees such asi. Employee detailii. Employee performanceiii. Employee salary etc.

    maintained using the Excel Sheet,which is not feasible

    for the organization as it leads to many difficulties,

    major among them are as follow.

    Data Redundancy:

    Existing system is not integrated,so redundant

    data has to be enterned in different sheet. The

    organization doesnt want redundancy of data due

    to following reasons discussed on next two points.

    more man hours.

    Consistency and maintainability:

    Due to data redundancy its very difficult topreserve consistency in database and also its

    these reasons the company wants consistency of

    data and easy maintainence.

    Security:

    HR department data are very sensitive as such asand no effective security of data is there right

    now. So access of data has been constrained to

    few of the persons only to get freedom from the

    limitation of the access of insensitive part of data

    to those concerned there is need for multilevel

    security, access should be as per need basis.

    NEED FOR THE NEW SYSTEM

    Motivation behind the problem statement is driven from

    organization &curriculum needs described below.

    The current organization requires an integrated system,

    which can manage the employee attributes like personal

    information, payroll system, leave management system

    & time keeping etc.

    ERO can provide an accurate picture of employee resourceallocation .

    Also the system should manage all in centralized way to

    maintain consistency of information.

    Such system if designed as modular in nature will be

    effective,efficient.

    Extendibility of ERO towards training, appraisals will be

    added advantage for future enhancements.

    Mainly, development of such an integrated system will be

    provide valuable experience during curriculum & for

    career further.

    EXISTING SYSTEM

    In existing system all works is done manually which requires

    maintaining excel sheets to record all the details of the system.

    Following are the list of work currently done manually:

    Whenever a employee join the company the information regarding the

    same is enterned in the excel sheet.

    Maintain separate sheets for different type of employee information.

    Maintain separate list for skills detail, which contain required skills and

    list of the employee having that skill.

    Currently there is no facility to view the employee previous records like

    detail of designation, department , etc.before increment or

    promotion.

    Current there is no different like (read\write)security for different

    users.

    Due to maintainence of the record in excel sheet the time to access a

    particular set of information is too high.

    One of the major problem in existing system is when an ad hoc report

    has been asked for it is very tedious to collect present it to the

    concerned authorities

    Feasibility study

    After identifying the scope of the system, one question alwaysaries in the mind of the software developer i.e can we build the

    software to meet this scope? And is the project feasible?

    Feasibility study of the system is the answer of the above

    question because feasibility study determine that wheather the

    system is really feasible to fulfill user requirement and provide

    the facility for which it is intended or not.

    The objective of the feasibility study is to acquire sense of its

    scope not to solve problem in feasibility study problem defination

    is crystallized and cost and benefits of the system are estimated

    with greater accuracy. Outcomes of the feasibility study is a

    formal document which contain information about nature and

    scope of the proposed solution.

    During feasibility study, following aspect are considered:

    Technical feasibility

    Economical feasibility

    Operational feasibility

    Technical feasibility:

    The organization has lisenced copy of Microsoft office

    and suite and windows 98. Also access will be able to handle

    the amount of the data that an organization will require.

    Technical feasibility determines that development of the

    system can be done with the available human resource,

    present equipment,existing system?

    Economical feasibility:

    Economic feasibility determines the benefits and costs

    that are expected from a proposed system and compare

    them with cost. If benefits outweigh costs,then system is

    said to be economical feasible.

    Implementation of the system is extremely cost

    effective because the system the system is developed for

    the existing in the organization operating system and

    database are used in the system. The tools used in the

    system are one of the best tools available in the area of

    development and also the most advance one.

    Operational feasibility estimated how strong will be

    the reaction of user towards the system development.

    Introduction of new system will also require training and

    education users.

    The staff of the organization is young highly qualified

    and talented so that they will require very little time to

    system is operational feasible.

    Proposed System

    The proposed EMPLOYEE RESOURCE ORGANIZER is designedand developed to overcome the problem present in the existing

    system. The system is designed to make work of organization

    easy and precise by allowing the HR staff to enter the data at a

    single place and using same for further use. Due to this

    consistency of the data will be maintained and data redundancy

    will also be avoided. Thereby propose system will improve work of

    the organization as well as it will improve efficiency of

    organization staff upto great extent.

    The proposed has the following important modules:

    Master module

    Skill tracking

    Apprasial

    Security

    Master

    This module cover all such information which are relatively stable.

    The employees personal information regarding the

    department,designation etc. are less prone to change and so are

    included in the master module.

    Skill tracking

    This module keep the track of employees skill so that proper

    allocation of the most vital human resources can be done efficiently.

    This module provides vital data to appraisal as one of the important

    thing to be considered during decision for appraisal is that what skill

    employee has acquired through tranning and how effectively those skillare applied for the organizations benefits.

    Appraisal

    The employee appraisal module keep track of all the information

    related to the performance of employees by keeping detail of the

    appraisal promotion and memo given to the employee.

    This module is administrative tool and allow the administrator to

    change, include and delete usersfrom the system. This module allow

    the administrator to access this module only if he has right to do that.
