Overview Northwestern Medicine applications can be accessed from home and beyond using the NM Employee Remote Access system. An internet connection is required to access systems and performance is dependent on the current bandwidth of your network connection. Some applications require Citrix Workspace to be installed on your computer. A requirement for signing in is that you have an Authenticator application on a personal device and a token configured. 2. Requesting & Configuring an Authenticator Token for Access To request a token invitation email, call the MyNM Service Center at 312.926.HELP (4357) Option 3 and request an “authenticator token for remote access”. The technician will send you an email invite that you will need to configure your personal mobile device. After receiving your invitation email, open it on another device. On your personal mobile device, proceed to download the Google Authenticator application. iOS and Android users– search your respective application store for “Google Authenticator” and install the application. Next, tap “BEGIN SETUP” and select “Scan Barcode”. Scan the barcode you received in your invitation email. You should now have an authenticator token for Northwestern Medicine on your device.

Employee Remote Access User Guide 1. Overview

Northwestern Medicine applications can be accessed from home and beyond using the NM Employee Remote Access system. An internet connection is required to access systems and performance is dependent on the current bandwidth of your network connection. Some applications require Citrix Workspace to be installed on your computer. A requirement for signing in is that you have an Authenticator application on a personal device and a token configured.

2. Requesting & Configuring an Authenticator Token for Access To request a token invitation email, call the MyNM Service Center at 312.926.HELP (4357) Option 3 and request an “authenticator token for remote access”. 3. Using Employee Remote Access

Sign into remote access by visiting https://access.nmh.org or by clicking the “Employee Login” link from the bottom right of the NM website https://nm.org.

You will arrive at the main sign in for Employee Remote Access. Using your NM login and authenticator code from your personal device, sign in.

After successful login, you will be redirected to NMInteractive and ready to work remotely.

4. Installing Citrix Workspace

Some applications (indicated with an *) require the installation of Citrix workspace on your personal device to open. This application is compatible with both mobile and computer devices.

Mobile Users

iOS and Android users– search your respective application store for “Citrix Workspace” and install the application. No additional configuration is required, only that the app is installed.

Windows/Mac Users

1. In a web browser, visit https://www.citrix.com/downloads. 2. Select “Citrix Workspace App” from the dropdown menu. 3. For your respective device type, select the latest version and download.

4. Install the application from your downloads folder.

No additional configuration is required, only that the app is installed on your device.

Applications marked with an * require Citrix Workspace to be installed on your device.
