During this time, employers and employees are encouraged to promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, and Thrive is here to assist all state agencies in supporting healthy activities and environments in the workplace.

• PROMOTE STATE EMPLOYEE DISCOUNTS FOR LOCAL GYMS AND WORKOUT FACILITIES.

• BRING IN A HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROFESSIONAL TO TALK ABOUT HEALTHY LIVING.

• BRING IN A REGISTERED DIETITIAN TO TALK ABOUT HEALTHY EATING.

• BRING IN A CHEF TO OFFER HEALTHY COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS.

• BRING IN A PERSONAL TRAINER TO TALK ABOUT CREATING WORKOUT HABITS AND DEMONSTRATE EXERCISES YOU CAN DO AT YOUR DESK.

• PROMOTE WALKING MEETINGS WHERE YOU WALK AROUND THE BUILDING INSTEAD OF GATHERING IN MEETING ROOMS.

• HOST A LUNCHEON WITH HEALTHY FOOD OPTIONS.

• CREATE A GAME OR INITIATIVE TO ENCOURAGE EMPLOYEES TO PARK FARTHER AWAY.

• CREATE AN INITIATIVE TO ENCOURAGE EMPLOYEES

TO USE THE STEPS INSTEAD OF THE ELEVATOR.

• STOCK YOUR BREAKROOM WITH HEALTHY SNACKS. AND, LEARN HOW TO START A HEALTHY PANTRY.

• PROVIDE INFORMATION SESSIONS THAT EDUCATE EMPLOYEES ON THE BENEFITS OF THEIR INSURANCE (SUCH AS FREE CHECK-UPS, PREVENTIVE CARE, ETC.).

• PROMOTE THE OKLAHOMA TOBACCO HELPLINE TO HELP EMPLOYEES QUIT SMOKING.

• PERFORM ON-SITE HEALTH SCREENINGS OR PROMOTE RECOMMENDED HEALTH SCREENINGS.

• PROVIDE ON-SITE EXERCISE CLASSES, YOGA SESSIONS OR FITNESS CLASSES.

• START A CHAIN OF GRATITUDE OR MAKE IT A GAME CALLED GRATITUDE TAG.

DRINK 64 OUNCES OF WATER A DAY

• TRY RECIPES FOR FRUIT-INFUSED WATER.
