WHAT EXISTS NOW…

Lack of participation and commitment of existing volunteers

Lack of EE visibility on the production floor

OBJECTIVES

•To strengthen the existing roster of volunteers and to recruit additional volunteers who are willing to commit their time and efforts towards employee engagement. This will be done through an EE Boot Camp where they will be taught the basics in events management and be able to participate in the planning process

•To identify program POCs (1 OM and 1 TL per program) who will become part of the volunteer group and will help in developing and deploying engagement activities at the center company and site levels

•To promote ownership and teamwork in the pursuit of Marife’s call to action of being number one by a mile

RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN EEC/PROGRAM POC

•Take ownership of employee satisfaction issues in the site by acting as EE’s “eyes” and “ears”

•Participate in all team meetings and planning sessions

•Promote and participate in all EE activities

•Assist in data gathering and research

•Act as ambassadors of the company by walking the talk

NEW SCREENING PROCESS

•Employee Engagement will schedule a series of interviews where applicants will be screened based on level of commitment and performance. They will also be asked to come up with event proposals to help check for potential event management skills.

•Employee Engagement will select the BEST 20 from the pool of applicants as well as the existing roster of volunteers. They will be called Employee Engagement Champions. This group, along with the program POCs will be sent to the EE Boot Camp for training and team-building. They are what we can consider EEC Team Leaders while the rest of the volunteers will be considered EEC Associates.
