Early Life• Jennifer was born in 1974 in
Pennsylvania
• She attended U of Richmond and received her BA and MS at Massachusetts Institutes of technology
• Guillermo was born in 1971 in Cuba
• He attended Escuela de Artes Plasticas and received his BFA and his MFA from Bard College
Notable groups and Exhibits
• Allora and Cazadilla have some of their art work in the MOMA
• They also have had exhibits in Dallas Museum of Art, Walker Arts Center, and many many more
• Allora and Cazadilla have worked together sense 1995
-they met as they studied abroad in Florence
Artistic Style
• Allora and Cazadilla have a wide range of style and preferred medium
• They work with sculpture, photo, performance, and all kinds of experimentation
- They see art as an experiment
• They test ideas of authorship, nationality & draw historical metaphors to basic materials
Inspiration
• Allora and Cazadilla explore all kind of techniques and are inspired by everything!
• They look to art as “an excuse to research and learn new topics” –Jennifer Allora
• Art is an experiment to Allora and Cazadilla
• They are interested in the way different materials work together, and a materials usage
Inspiration
• They see art as a way to voice people who normally can not be voiced
- Their chalk performance/exhibit is a good example
- They set giant chalk out in front of the Peru government buildings so the people could publicly protest

• Allora and Cazadilla use art as a way to see people’s responses
• They once had a music and war project where they releated different music to times of war
