Show Horse Championships Super Show

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. The 2018 Equestrian NSW “Elizabeth Farm” Newcomer Horse of the Year show shall be conducted in accordance with the EA Show Horse Rules and Guidelines

2. Definition of Newcomer: Must not have been shown under saddle or competed under saddle prior to 1st January 2018. Must compete in a snaffle bit.

3. Definition of Graduate: “Graduate” is an exhibit that has not competed under saddle in a show class prior to 1st January 2017 but has competed prior to 1st January 2018. Newcomers not eligible. Must compete in a snaffle bit.

4. Definition of Preliminary: a Horse that has not been placed 1st, Champion or Reserve in an Open ridden Hack or Show Hunter class/event at any Royal Show including the R.N.A., Bathurst, Geelong, Toowoomba and Launceston Royals, or has never been the Winner or Runner Up of any State HOTY Title or has never been the winner of any HOTY Intermediate or Preliminary Title.

5. Criteria for the Off the Track & Thoroughbred ClassesOpen to all Thoroughbreds unraced or raced 3 years and over and that are registered with RISA (Racing Information Services Australia) or the ASB (Australian Stud Book). Registrations will be checked and all horses must be registered with Equestrian NSW.

• Racing name/ASB name and breeding to be included with entry.

Off the Track Newcomer: open to exhibits registered and named on the Australian Stud Book (ASB) that have started in a race or official barrier trial on any registered racetrack in Australia or abroad but have never competed under saddle in the show ring, dressage, eventing or showjumping prior to January 1 2018

Newcomer ASB registered Thoroughbred - must be registered with the ASB (Australian Studbook), open to horses that have not raced or barrier trialed.

6. All Riders must be current EA Competitor Members. Owners must be Competitor, Participant or Supporter EA members at time of entry and competition. All horses must have a current Equestrian NSW Show Horse licence.

7. Newcomer HOTY Show entries are open to all horses within NSW that are ENSW registered and owned by a current ENSW Member. Show Horse Championship Show entries are open to EA members from all states.

8. All competing horses must hold a current EA Height Certificate. Measuring will take place at the event.

9. Competitors must choose to either compete in the Show Hunter or Open Ring. Horses cannot compete in both.

10. All ENTRIES, stabling and camping will be online via Nominate. Entry for ALL classes close Sunday 19 th August 2018 at midnight.

11. Random Drug Testing may be carried out during this Show. Drug testing shall be in accordance with EA Rules & Regulations.

12. Requests for refunds of entry fees after the close of entries will be put to the ENSW Show Horse Committee for consideration and should be accompanied by a vet or medical certificate..

Equestrian NSW Show Horse Championships

Saturday 15th September 2018 – at conclusion of Newcomer Show

1. The 2018 Equestrian NSW Saddle Horse Championships shall be conducted in accordance with the EA Show Horse Rules and Guidelines.

2. Entries are open to all horses across Australia that are EA registered and owned by a current EA Member. Registrations and memberships must be current as at close of entries.

3. All Riders must be current EA Senior or Junior Competitor Members.

4. All competing horses must hold a current EA Height Certificate. Measuring available at the show.

5. Competitors must choose to either compete in the Show Hunter or Open Ring. Horses cannot compete in both.

6. All ENTRIES will be online via Nominate

7. Entry for ALL Classes closes Sunday 19th August 2018 at midnight.8. The classes in Rings 1 & 2 will have a set workout for all entrants & will be judged by 3 judges - the judge underlined will be the preferential judge. The highest marked Pony, Galloway and Hack from each event will each be awarded the relevant prize, Champion, Reserve Champion & Third place. Both Open and Show Hunter horses are eligible to compete in their height section.

9. Random Drug Testing may be carried out during this Show. Drug Testing shall be in accordance with EA Rules & Regulations.

10. Points will be awarded for NSW horses towards the annual Equestrian NSW Awards.

11. Requests for refunds of entry fees after the close of entries will be put to the ENSW Show Horse Committee for consideration and should be accompanied by a medical or vet certificate.

12. An $11 day stay levy per horse will be charged.

13. Stabling and camping is to be booked via NOMINATE at the time of entry.

14. Definition Owner/Rider: The horse must be owned by the rider or immediate family member. Definition of Immediate Family Member: Spouse, Brother, Sister, Child, Parents, Grandparents, Grandchildren.

15. Age for riding classes is as of the 1st January 2018

16. Riders must be nominated at the time of entry – should rider change office must be notified.

Event Fees:Open, Show Hunter, Child’s, Owner/Rider, Thoroughbred, Rider classes - $25.00 per classAll other classes $10.00Administration fee $35.00 (covers all shows over weekend)Swabbing levy: $12 per horse (covers all shows over weekend)Day Stay: $11 per horse per dayStabling: $30 per night - $30 bedding fee (2 bales compulsory) - $77 bond per stable applies, refunded when cleaned.
