The masthead Vibe is
written in a bold, white
font. As the background of
the front cover is black, the
white masthead reflects of
it making the magazine
easier to identify.
The magazine has a
colour scheme of
yellow, white and
black. Sticking to a
group of colours
makes the magazine
look professional and
neat.
The main image on the
magazine is a well known
rapper Drake. They have
used a well know rapper as it
will attract their target
audience. Making this image
their selling point.
The use of the word exclusive
will catch the viewers eye as its
saying you can only read this
interview in this magazine.
The rappers costume has been
deliberately dressed in a plain
black t-shirt and a black hat.
This is because this costume
has connotations of the genre
of the magazine (Hip-hop). For
example, the black hat Drake
is wearing is commonly wore
by other artist. So when an
audience see this front page
the can automatically guessthe genre of the magazine.
Other well known artists are
used at the top of the page.
This also gives an idea to the
buyers what genre this
magazine is.
Come dressing with Amber
Rose highlights that this
magazine could be targeted
at females as Amber Rose
is a fashion icon, however
other sale lines portray that
this magazine is targeted at
both sexes. This could
cause some confusion withthe buyers.
The barcode shows that this is a magazine that is sold by retailers.
There is references to new
media. Retweet that. New
media like twitter is used
world widely. It helps broaden
their audiences. This makes
their magazine known.
Having a website allows the
magazine company to contact
their readers in different ways.
As many people use the

The cracked masthead ties
in with the genre of the rock
magazine.
The explanation mark in the
masthead portrays the genre
well as rock is quite a loud
from of music. The
explanation marks make it
look like the title is being
shouted at you just like in
rock music.
The main image of the magazine
is of a new band called You Me
At Six. As they are a new band
the magazine have chose them
as their selling point because
they can bring a new band to
their readers. Also this may give
the magazine a wider audience
as the new bands interviewcould be talked about between
their weekly readers. The use of the word hotshots
will appeal to the female
audience as they would want to
read more and see more pictures
of rocks new hotshots.
The band are all colour
coordinated. They are all
dressed in black t-
shirt/jumper. This makes
magazine professional and
organised.
The barcode shows that the
magazine is sold by retailers. Also
the price is shown which tells the
viewers how much the magazine
costs. The issue number and the
date of when the magazine came
out is there to. This helps the
readers to know what magazines
they have missed and also toknow when they brought it later
on in life.
The red border helps separate
the images up so that the
magazine doesn't look crowded.
This shows the reader that there
are different articles.
The band facial expression
are all positive. They are
either smiling or pulling a
funny face. This has been
done so that the band is
introduced to the readers or
new fans as laidback and
real.
The sell line Free poster special
!will grab the readers attention as
everybody loves a freebie. Also it
opens options to other readers
who may not like the band You

The glittery pink title
highlights that the target
audience for this magazine is
young girls.
Many young girls love boy
bands and particularly are
well know for liking Harry
Styles and Justin Bieber it
would be silly not to do an
article on whos the fittest
out of the two. This would
defiantly attract young girls
as they will be interested to
see who gets crowned thefittest.
The main image is of Jessie J.
She is a respected singer who
is looked up at by many
young people. The sentence
underneath her image I've
beaten my haters! shows
that their is an inspiring story
that has been told in the
magazine. This would attract
the target audience as they
would want to know her
personal story and her
inspiring actions.
Young girls are conscious
about how they look, theywould love to find out ways
to solve their problems. This
article will attract readers
because it is saying it can
solve their problems and help
them.
The BBC are a well know
terrestrial channel that have
strict rules and conditions,
parents will know that their
will be nothing unsuitable
for their young daughters to
read in the magazine.
The colour scheme of the
magazine front cover is pink,
purple and white. Pink and
purple have connotations of
girls and girly things. Sticking to
this colour scheme makes the
front cover of the magazineprofessional and presentable.
Rochelle is from a band called
The Saturdays. She is also very
popular with young girls. By
making a sell line saying Look
Like Rochelle young girls will
jump at the chance to maybe
look like her.
Top Of the Pops used to also be
a popular music show on the TV
channel BBC1. They have place
the BBC logo on the magazineto show they are both produced
by the same company.
The price of the magazine is sold at 2.50. This is a standard cost fora magazine. Also most young children get pocket money, which
means they can purchase this magazine themselves.
