August 2015 To Whom this May Concern: In the two years Emily Karlichek has worked in our office, I have come to know her as a personable, hard-working colleague who has the best interests of our organization at heart. She would be a terrific asset to any organization or company for whom she is requesting a leadership position. I have always found Emily to be a consummate team player, an effective speaker combining professionalism and a warm sense of humor with our staff and constituents. In addition, she is a champion cheerleader, persuading all of us to work harder. Whether she is presenting information to our donors and prospects; or sharing opportunities where we can work together, closing gifts with Advisors and Attorneys, she makes a great impression on her audience. Emily has engaged volunteers and secured sponsors to contribute almost $650,000 to ACS through Relay For Life since January 2014. She has planned and executed 6 Relays and 2 Bark for Life events coordinating volunteers, hosting almost 6000 people cumulatively. Emily has participated in many of our office Workgroups including - SEMI Cheer (Positivity in the Workplace), SEMI Holiday Party Workgroup, SEMI Philanthropy Workgroup, National LGBT Employee Engagement Group, SEMI Diversity & Inclusion Workgroup, SEMI Communications Workgroup, and Volunteer-Staff Partnership Certification program. Emily has connected with her communities through countless special events, mixers, health fairs, meetings, and conferences. She personally staffed 2 of the Top 20 events in the state of Michigan; managing the websites for 3 Relays and 1 Bark for Life over two seasons. In addition she created and shared training documents and best practices resources for our coworkers and volunteers. Emily is a team player and regularly worked across verticals to support and collaborate with coworkers for mutual gains for our organization. Additionally to her own work, she volunteered her time to help other staff with their events including Cattle Barons Ball, Skyline Soiree, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Detroit, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Macomb County, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Detroit Kickoff Breakfast and she participated as a Team Captain in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Oakland County event. In addition to all of this, Emily worked on the Henry Ford Hospital account team that services Macomb County and grew the Henry Ford team relationship greatly. I will miss Emily in our office, but know that if you are interviewing her, you are making the right decision for your company.
