Name: Emily Taurozzi Program: History – Second Year Hobbies: hiking, playing video games, binge-watching Netflix, reading. Hey AlgomaU! I’m your current Campaigns & Special Projects Director and I’m running for re-election. I am passionate about this position and would like to continue working hard to educate and bring awareness to important issues affecting students on and off campus. I am very passionate about this position and the student union in general. I feel that the experience that I could bring to the table puts me above the other candidates. I have been working on the board for a year but I have definitely not done the bare minimum expected of me. I have put together and run two General Assembly’s this past year. I have ran various campaigns, including: Generation Vote, The Hikes Stop Here, and No Means No. This involves tabling for these issues, talking to students on a one-on-one basis, and putting up posters / handing out materials. I have held a Campaigns Committee meeting every week with the exception of 3 different weeks. I have attended several national conferences with hundreds of other students across the country. I know how to do this job and I believe that I am really good at this job. I don’t want to hand it over to someone who will not work hard or someone who only wants to be elected for a fancy title on their resume. I want student voices to be heard, but not just heard, listened to. Thank you and I hope you come out and vote for me on March 18 and 19.
