SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

As Central Banker for more than eighteen (18) years: started off as Analyst and retired under the Early Retirement Incentive Program (ERIP) in 1994 as Technical Assistant (Officer Position) to the Director, Government Securities Department, Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas; was exposed in various monetary operations and supervisory/regulatory aspects of central banking i.e., examination and audit of financial records of supervised banks and other non-bank financial institutions, implementation of the Central Bank Housing Program, participated in the World Bank-IMF mandated foreign debt restructuring and repayment (Private Sector Debt) program of the country, open market operations and in the NEDA-approved 5-year borrowing program of the National Government through weekly auctions of Treasury Bills and when deemed necessary, prepare and issue/float in the securities market applicable government instruments.

As Private Banker (with Merchants Bank, Security Bank and Bankwise), rising from the ranks, performed the assigned tasks as Treasury Head in money market operations and investments management; as Branch Banking Head, was in charge of day-to-day operations of all branches inclusive of the deposit and loan generation campaign programs, meeting set-periodic sales and marketing targets, budget preparation, compliance to certain regulatory requirements; and supervision and control of personnel, property and supplies within the official jurisdictional scope.

As PNOC Development and Management Senior Officer in charge of Finance and Administration Departments, was personally responsible in securing from the Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas an exemption from the prohibition limiting corporate investments of idle funds to government-mandated commercial banks like Land Bank, Development Bank and Veterans Bank (a move not otherwise granted to other GOCCs) thereby substantially increasing the annual net income of the Corporation; from start to finish, oversaw the implementation of the PNOC-sponsored Gawad Kalinga Project in Rosario, Cavite; improved the collection efficiency of the Corporation primarily generated and derived from its tenants/awardees vis-a-vis Abot-Kaya Pabahay Project also located in Rosario, Cavite; and, in boosting personnel morale through legal, equitable and timely distribution of benefits.

As Centennial Finance President/CEO charged with the rehabilitation of a moribund Corporation, converted its sorry stature into a major industry player - in the financing and leasing business by strengthening its organizational set-up, back room operations, marketing and collection strategies resulting to an

unprecedented increased loan production and improved income performance.

Attended relevant training programs/seminars particularly in Japan which was jointly sponsored by the World Bank and Japan Development Bank and in Central Bank's Management Training Program (where participation is limited to the top 24 qualifiers).

Established/chartered Citystate Savings Bank as commissioned by Ambassador Antonio Cabangon-Chua. The Bank is now considered as the one of the most stable and profitable thrift banks in the country.
