Students will apply their knowledge of safety and incident command in a disaster scenario and employ Incident Command System methodology to review and/or develop safety and medical plans, safety messages, and a safety analysis of an Incident Action Plan. Nicole Errett, PhD, MSPH Faculty Lecturer, University of Washington Dept. of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (UW DEOHS)Nicole Errett has nearly a decade of practical experience in emergency management and public health preparedness at the federal, state, and local levels. Her research interests and expertise are in the use of public policy to enhance health outcomes during and after disaster.

Dana Stahl, CIHDevelopment Manager and Instructor, Paci ic Northwest OSHA Education Center, UW DEOHS Dana Stahl has more than 20 years of experience managing occupational health and safety programs for public agencies, including the Port of Seattle and Sound Transit, and several manufacturing companies. She has managed industrial hygiene and hazardous materials management programs throughout her career and worked closely with local emergency managers and emergency responders, while managing the emergency management program at Sound Transit.
