INTRODUCTION
This document provides a step-by-step guide to taking the Los Angeles World Airports EM Training
Course.
To gain access to the training, everyone must register first as a ‘user’. Registered users may use the site
to complete courses and print certificates any time of the year, including after they have started but not
completed training and logged out.
CREATE OR EDIT YOUR USER PROFILE
1. Upon accessing the training site, users will land on a front page and asked to login or create an
account.

2. Upon selecting the “CLICK HERE” LOG IN OR CREATE AN ACCOUNT” (see image above) a login
page (image immediately below) will appear where new users will be asked to register and
create a profile (or returning users with a profile already created, will be asked to sign-in).
3. New Users should enter the information in the data fields indicated on the User Profile page,
users will be able to edit their name and email address as well as update or change their
Company ID and Division Code. Users will be able to identify up to three employers at LAWA so
that each employer’s authorized signer will know the user has taken the required training.

4. Upon submitting the completed registration form, users will see the screen below. Go to your
email and open the message. You may need to check your junk mail or spam folder to access
the email message. Do not click on the “continue” button as that will put you back at the
registration page – go to your email and see the next step below.
5. Check your email, and follow the directions in the message. Upon submitting the completed
registration form, users will receive a system email at the email address they provided. This
email will contain a link and enrollment keys for each of the employers (up to 3) indicated during
enrollment.

6. Click on the ‘Continue’ button on the registration confirmation screen to access your
‘Dashboard’ screen where you can access the training course.
NAVIGATE TO THE EM TRAINING COURSE
1. From your ‘Dashboard’ page, from the box labelled “Courses”, select the “LAWA EM Training
Course (Tenant Suite).

2. Select either the English or the Spanish version of the course. Note that the Spanish version
has English voice over with Spanish closed captioning.
3. Make sure the “Normal” button is selected (the circle to the immediate left of the word
“Normal” should be a black dot) and click on the “Enter” button.

4. There are six videos in the course, select each video to play it and take a short quiz at the end.
You must take the quiz to receive credit for completing each video. Each video you complete
(including the quiz) will be marked with a check mark .
5. After completing all six videos and quizzes, click on ‘Exit activity’ button in the upper right of
your screen.

6. On the completion confirmation screen, you will see a small check mark () in the upper
right indicating that you have completed the course. Next, click on the “Training Certificate”
link.
7. Click on the “Get your certificate” button to generate the certificate. The certificate will
appear in a separate pop up window in your browser – so ensure that your pop up window
blocker is turned off in your browser settings.

8. The certificate can be downloaded as a PDF and printed, or it can be printed directly from the
screen through your normal browser printing protocol. We recommend saving the PDF of the
certificate.
9. Have your Authorized Signer sign your certificate before you bring it to the Badging Office.
Your Authorized Signer should sign on the line labelled “Signature”.
