EMC‑AH preparedness support is a catalyst for government action and helps leverage resources from partners to strengthen country resilience to animal disease outbreaks.

Emergency Management Centre for Animal Health
EMC‑AH is the leading global centre for animal health emergency management – playing a critical role in strengthening country, regional and international preparedness and response capacity to reduce the impact of animal health emergencies.
EMC‑AH coordinated 15 animal health disease events, expanded its role and diversified resource partnerships to build animal health emergency management capacity around the world.
EMC‑AH supported six rapid response missions, coordinated six animal disease incidents and contributed to preparedness activities. It also sponsored the Rift Valley Fever Regional Technical Workshop in Eastern Africa and supported the Emergency Regional Consultative Meeting on African Swine Fever Risk Reduction and Preparedness in East Asia.
