Embracing Life’s Storms Lesson One: God is always alive and at work in your life.

What are FIVE things that God has taught you during this COVID-19 season?

Lesson Two: God not only cares about your hunger, but he cares for your soul.Notes:

But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.”  Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading. John 6:20-21

“Most striking of all is the fact that Jesus takes on himself a phrase that [in Isaiah] is reserved for Yahweh alone and thus intimately identifies himself with God's acts of

creation and salvation… [which suggests] that John saw the events and words of Jesus's life as a fulfillment of that day when Israel would see the salvation of Yahweh.” -Quote by David Mark Ball “I AM” in John’s Gospel Pg. 203

But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31

“You either come to the text with a view of what is and isn’t possible in the world, which won’t allow any fresh evidence, or you come with at least an open mind to new possibilities.” -Quote by N.T. Wright, John for Everyone pg.76

God moves in a mysterious way,    His wonders to perform;

He plants his footsteps in the sea,    And rides upon the storm.

Ye fearful saints fresh courage take,    The clouds ye so much dread

Are big with mercy, and shall break    In blessings on your head.

Hymn by William Cowper 1773, friend of John Newton
