Torres were received through the waters of baptism. Matthew Brackey and Elizabeth
Mejia were received through a Profession of Faith. Those receiving Confirmation and
or First Communion and thus completing their Sacraments of Christian Initiation
were Araceli Calderon, Yolanda Cruz, Susan Torres & Mateo Velasquez Gomez. We are
thankful for these newly initiated members who bring new life to our community

Welcome to Baptismal Preparation at the Cathedral!
We congratulate you for desiring to baptize your child. The celebration of Baptism is an important event in the life of
your family, this community, and the Church. In order to prepare
adequately for this beautiful and memorable celebration, we invite
you to contact the parish office to schedule an appointment.
During this meeting we will inform you of the preparation steps
and how to schedule the baptism of your child. Part of the preparation for the sacrament includes two pre-baptismal classes
for both you and the godparents, which can be taken after the
initial appointment. For the English classes, please contact the
parish office 225-4802 by noon on Monday to let us know that
you’ll be attending the classes. Classes are held at 7:00pm.
In order to ensure that the parents and godparents have
enough time to complete the preparation process, we
encourage you to schedule your initial meeting at least 2-3
months before the date you would like to baptize. If you have
any questions regarding baptism preparation, please
contact the parish office at 225-4802.

bautismo es un acontecimiento importante en la vida de su
familia, esta comunidad, y la Iglesia. Con el fin de prepararse

A blessed and joyous Easter to you from all the Chapel Leaders and Adorers.
Over the past thirteen years, hundreds of people have had the privilege of
personal prayer with Our Lord in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament 24
hours a day, seven days a week in our Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel.
What a blessing this has been for our parish!
The chapel is located behind the tabernacle. Entrance can be made from inside
the main church area or there is an outside entry door near the north prayer
garden gates at the northeast corner of the Cathedral building. Guests are
welcome to stop in for a visit. The doors are only locked at night when adorers
have an entry code.
When in exposition, the Blessed Sacrament is never to be left unattended so
parishioners have signed and committed to spend a weekly hour in prayer.
Some hours have several adorers present while other hours have only one
person assigned.
Currently there is one open hour with no weekly adorer scheduled on Sundays
at 5:00am. If you are interested in praying every week at this hour or any other
weekly holy hour contact Donna Schawe at 227-8452 or Blanca Garcia at
446-4438.
Un Bendecido y Feliz Pascua para todos los Líderes y Adoradores de la Capilla.
Durante los últimos trece años, cientos de personas han tenido el privilegio de
orar con Nuestro Señor en presencia del Santísimo Sacramento las 24 horas del
día, siete días a la semana en nuestra Capilla de Adoración Perpetua. ¡Qué ben-
dición ha sido para nuestra parroquia!
La capilla está situada detrás del tabernáculo. Se puede entrar desde el interior
de la área principal de la iglesia o hay una puerta de entrada al exterior cerca
de las puertas norte del jardín de oración en la esquina noreste del edificio de la
catedral. Los visitantes pueden llegar a adorar. Las puertas sólo se cierran por
la noche y los adoradores tienen un código para entrar.
Cuando el Santísimo esta expuesto nunca debe dejarse desatendido, por esa
razón los feligreses han firmado y se han comprometió a pasar una hora
semanal en oración. Algunas horas tienen varios Adoradores presentes
mientras que otras horas tienen solamente una persona asignada.
Actualmente hay una hora abierta sin adorador semanal programado los
domingos a las 5:00am. Si está interesado en orar todas las semanas a esta

The auction is the largest fundraiser for Sacred Heart School. Tickets are $25 each or a reserved table of 8 for $240. Tickets can be purchased at the school office or by contacting Jeremy, 338-4549. He can also be contact to answer any questions or to make donations for the auction. Come join us for a night filled with fun, games and good food and help us support the school.

an Easter egg hunt, a symbol of the Resurrection of Jesus and to
enjoy a Kermes (parish fair) where there will be delicious food and
games in the Holy Family Social Center. (ALL funds will be for
our parish.) Don’t miss it!

Knights of Columbus Easter Covered Dish The Knights of Columbus Easter Covered Dish Dinner will be held Sunday April, 8th at 6:00pm, at the Knights of Columbus Hall. We will provide the ham, potatoes, and drinks. Bring your favorite side dish, salad, vegetable or dessert.
Come enjoy the fellowship! There will be an Easter Egg hunt for the kids after supper, so bring your basket. All members and their families are invited to attend.
