Email Campaign Check List

CHECKS DESCRIPTION CHECKED

1 Sender Name 1. Check if the sender name is correct and matching with client requirement. 2. Check if the sender name is having "-" , "&","%" or any special characters. If YES please Alert to the Campaign Manager, as it will increase the spam score. There are high possibilities of the email landing in Junk. 3. Sender name must be usually a company/product/event name. For example: "StratAgile".

2 Sender Email 1. Check if the sender email is the same email id that client provided. 2. Check if the sender email consist of any special characters e.g. [email protected]. 3. If client wants to add a different domain. a). Check if the domain is available. b). If the domain is available, ask Ashly or Husain to purchase the same. For example: example.com is available in GoDaddy, then Singapore team will help us to purchase. c). Add spf record to Domain Manager of Netcore (domain.com). We have to draft a mail to Netcore to add a new domain.

3 Subject Line 1. Check Subject line with clients’ requirement. 2. The subject line length is 40-50 character. If not please inform the Campaign Manager. 3. The subject line should not have any special characters e.g. "&, *, -, %, !". If so alert Campaign team. 4. Subject line Spam checking tool : http://subjectline.com/

4 Reply to email Check if the email is the same one that client has given and also check if the reply to email is working.

5 Creative 1. Cross check the sliced Edm with the approved JPG. 2. Check the header is same as the approved creative. 3. Check if the color of the HTML matches the approved edm. 4. Check the footer is same as the approved creative. 5. Use fonts as per client guidelines (Mandate).

6 Personalization 1. Check with the Campaign team if there are any

Personalization’s? 2. Check if the personalization's are correct. For example, [NAME], [VISUALID].

7 Grammar and Spell check

Copy paste the content to word file and check if the grammar is correct.

8 Links 1. Click on link check if it’s been redirected to the correct Page (campaign team to provide the links). 2. Check if the page is being displayed.

9 Unsubscribe link Make sure the unsubscribe link is in place.

10 Phone Number and Address

Check if the phone number and address provided is in use and up to date with the concerned website.

11 HTML Do's 1. Make sure there are no "div", "ul", "p","font" tags in the Html. This might lead to the junk mail. 2. Character encoding: "UTF-8". 3. Links have to contain “target=_blank”. 4. Every image most contain an <alt> tag. 5. eDM should contain images with .jpg or .png format and also it has to be uploaded to the server(need to check whether it has to be internal(Strat) or Client.

12 HTML Don'ts 1. Background images 2. JavaScript 3. iFrame 4. CSS file from external source 5. Animated gif is not allowed. 6. Rich formats are not allowed (flash, html5 video player, audio player.

13 File Size HTML which is provided by creative team should not exceed more than 25 KB and Image files: max 250KB.

14 Multi-Platform testing

Check on all platforms. Eg. Gmail, Hotmail.

15 Text Only Version Check for the text only version.

16 View in browser Must be there by default for all campaigns.
