20 November, 2019 General News
Dear Parents,
Over the last three days it has been a special privilege to spend time with our
up and coming Year 5 &6 students at Elanda Eco camp. The children stood out
as caring, co-operative and capable young people. There have been many
opportunities to get to know them better and see in each of them wonderful
possibilities. Thank you to Elanda Eco Camp for delivering an outstanding
quality camp. Our Activity Leader Brendan and assistants – Chloe and Riley
brought out the best in the children. Their patience and experience enabled
the students to connect with the objectives of each activity and game. A
special mention to the amazing Steph and Brad for providing a delicious menu
of breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The food feast kept our bodies and minds
ready to take on each challenge.
My special thanks goes to Mrs Webb for her dual roles as Principal by day
and Camp leader by night. This certainly goes above and beyond in so many
ways! Thanks also to Kearin for being camp organiser and camp leader. What
a great team we have at Kin Kin SS.
Interviews
A reminder to parents to contact the school office for a time
to meet with the classroom teacher.
E kindy
Next year we have the opportunity to apply to become a
site for E kindy one day a week. We are seeking interested families who have
a child of kindy age in 2020 - born July or after 2016 or before June 2017, who
might be interested in attending kindy at Kin Kin State School. If you are
interested in enrolling your child or would like to find out more information
please contact the office.
Bendigo Bank visit
This Friday morning, a representative from Bendigo Bank, Jo Winter will be
here to talk to any interested parents who would like to open up a student
bank account. Please remember to bring your child’s Birth Certificate,
Medicare Card or passport with you.
Swimming next week
Is everybody ready for the big week of swimming next week? We will be
going on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
and Friday. Students will need to bring
togs, towel, swimming caps (we have
some caps here), goggles if needed,
and sunscreen. Please ensure that your
child’s clothing is all labelled to avoid
confusion when dressing.
Have a great week!
See you at assembly! Louise
