Elsie Green House & Home Elsie Green is a sustainable, family run company based in northern California. We travel the world to bring our customers beautiful,

sustainable things and inspiration for their homes.

We believe that not making something new is the greenest thing of all, that a small business can make a big difference, that the human touch is a powerful thing, and that working side by side with your family is a really

nice way to spend your day.

This month, we’re excited about:

Our new store, where customers can shop, get inspired, peruse our design library. Our house -- a working laboratory for developing and testing items for the Elsie

Green collection. Our No Fear Floral Workshop

Our new collection of restored vintage upholstery

Elsie Green Studio 2954 Treat Blvd., Suite C-D

Concord, California

Elsie green has a beautiful new store in northern California. The showroom features our large collection of beautiful, sustainable things for

the home, and we’re very excited to have room for our vintage fabric collection, our sample room, our photo studio, and our design library.

Every day, we have visitors who peruse our collection in person, get our extraordinarily personal service and some great ideas and inspiration. We now have beautiful hi-res images of the showroom taken by photographer

Thomas Kuoh.

The Furber House: a laboratory for good design

We use our simple ranch house in northern California as a working

laboratory to qualify new items bound for the Elsie Green collection. If something doesn’t pass our real life test, it’s out. Simple as that.

Pillows sewn in the sample room are tested on our sofas.

Our 10’ dining table spent years in our kitchen before being reproduced from vintage lumber for our customers.

Tempered glass French tumblers take their turn in our kitchen cabinet first, then they’re added to our collection of beautiful basics.

We sit on the bistro chairs, we use the vintage vessels for our flowers, we eat with the vintage silver, we sleep on the organic cotton sheets and use the vintage chanvre towels in our bath. All before offering similar goods

for sale to our customers.

Our house is a rotating gallery of beautiful items intended for the collection. We now have beautiful, hi-res images of the house by

photographer Thomas Kuoh.

Elsie Green No Fear Floral Workshop

On a lovely afternoon, several ladies gathered at the Elsie Green studio with some beautiful blooms from the San Francisco Flower Market, some

vintage vessels, a kit of tools and a hankering to learn a few tricks.

We talked color palette, basic rules to follow and basic rules to break, then got to work. In the end, the ladies learned to make beautiful, simple

arrangements in less than five minutes each.

We have lovely, hi-res images, including before and after

glamour shots of our handiwork

Introducing Elsie Green Vintage Upholstery

We’ve always had a thing for vintage upholstery, and for vintage fabrics. Now we’ve joined those two things into one beautiful thing. Vintage

pieces collected from flea markets in the French countryside, restored, and recovered with beautiful vintage fabrics.

They’re truly the best seats in the house.
