I. Minimum System Requirements

Elmo EASII Experience Remote Practice System (RPS) require Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer Browser (version 11 or above) to operate properly.

If nor previously installed, please download the browser of your choice:

For your best user experience we highly recommend you to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox Browser!

II. Main EASII Experience screen

After logging in (or Registering for the first time), the system will enter the EASII experience main screen

This screen contains several links to EASII tutorials, and EASII Exercises that may assist you to introduce and instruct you in the EASII environment.

1. EASII Tutorials

To access the EASII Tutorials simply click

Tutorials are divided into main categories and sub-categories in a tree structure, allowing you to simply navigate to any target subject tutorial that you wish to study.

Each group of tutorials is grouped under a common sub-category. For example the Communication sub-category located under the System configuration main category, has four tutorials covering communication connection options to the drives in the system. A description next to each tutorial box describes the contents of the tutorial.

2. EASII Exercises

To access the EASII Exercises simply click The exercises contain several simple step by step exercises from different EASII subjects enabling you to study the subject through the exercise. A description next to the exercise name describes the aim of the exercise.

For example, the simple step-by-step Auto Tuning exercise describes all the steps that will allow you to complete a simple drive-motor tuning procedure with minimum steps.

3. Starting a Session

Click to enter the Remote Station Control area. Note: If no station is available, a message is displayed requesting you to retry later, when a station is free.

III. Entering a Workstation

1. Default configuration

When entering a Remote Station Control area, the station is ready with a default configuration consisting of the following:

Servo system in Ether CAT network communication ready to operate

Hardware: GMAS as main multi axis controller and 3 tuned GOLD drive axes

Software: EASII workspace with 3 axes EtherCAT configured

The default configuration immediately allows you to connect to the G-MAS and perform any operation, for example, a simple Point to Point motion

Select the G-MAS

Connect to G-MAS by right mouse click and select "Connect"

2. Uploading Files

You may continue from your last work session and upload files from your computer to Elmo's remote station by clicking on the upload icon located on your screen.

3. Logout

To logout from the Elmo RPS, click on the disconnect icon or close your browser. After logging out from the Elmo RPS, your work files will be deleted. Make sure to download (click the download icon located on your screen) and save the files on your own Computer before you logout.

4. Time Limitation

After 3 hours, your computer will be disconnected from the Elmo RPS. Make sure to download and save the files on your computer prior to being disconnected.

5. Hardware Reset

You can to power off (reset) the hardware if necessary Click the Hardware Reset icon located on your screen and Wait 2 minutes before reconnecting to the Elmo RPS system.

IV. Uploading and Downloading Files

1. Upload files from your computer to Elmo RPS

1. Click the Upload icon 2. Select the files from your computer to be uploaded 3. Chose the Files Transfer Directory as the destination located on the Elmo RPS desktop.

2. Download files from Elmo RPS to your computer

1. Click on the download icon 2. Select the files to be downloaded from the Files Transfer Directory located on the Elmo RPS desktop 3. The files will be transferred to your computer download directory
