The theme has been influenced by the professional dialogue generated amongst site leaders and corporate leaders throughout 2015 and 2016. The aim for our 2017 program is for all of us to delve more deeply into the evidenced-based research that continues to influence what makes the difference for students, teachers, each school and our system... how does deep leadership support deep learning? Week 10 DISCO Friday 7th April, the theme is “COWBOYS and INDIANS”. Week 11 Thursday is casual clothes day and mini pizzas. Last day of Term 1 is ‘Ride to School’. ELLISTON RSL MEMORIAL CHILDREN’S CENTRE NEWS Congratulations to Zali, Marli, Chloe, and Ian on the very

successful ‘dread cutting’ last Friday night. A sensational effort from you all, and all supporting excellent charities.

This week is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Last week the learning continued with an amazing

chocolate worm mud pit, sounds interesting, it definitely was! So much fun and mess finding the lolly snakes and worms in the mud pit. We also designed 3D fish with wire and decorations; these are hanging in the Kindy. We read the book Giraffes Can’t Dance and then brainstormed things we can’t do yet. The fritters were beautiful with all children helping to cook and eat them!

This week we are revising the letters a – g. Teresa is cooking banana bread tomorrow, and doing some autumn art work.

A huge thank you to all the parents who attended and sent in apologies to last week’s AGM. It was a fantastic attendance and many things were discussed. Fees will continue to be $75 per term for each child.

A new healthy food policy was implemented in line with the DECD Right Bite Policy. There are fridge reminders for each family and any interested community members who would like one.

This Friday is our first Bus Tour, rosters are out and about. Annie is away on Wednesday and Thursday for leadership

and big welcome to Tracy. Have a fantastic week! Regards Annie, Teresa, Julie, Lari, Karen & Ayesha
