Thank you members for getting through the spring and into the summer with great flair. We

have been busy non-stop from April through July.As Grand Convention came to a close in

July, so does our hectic schedule. Thanks to all who went to GL Convention in Reno. It was

the first National Convention for me and what an experience. The topper was seeing our very

own John Sutton being installed as our new District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler. Way to goDD!

The business at the lodge is gaining momentum. We have been installing members at a steady pace since

April, thanks for all your hard work. The prospects are out there just waiting for us to show them what the

Elks have to offer. Keep up the good work in spreading the word. No one knows what we do unless we

    toot our own horn.

The summer months of August and September are usually times to spend with your family and friends.

Why not bring them down to the lodge for one of our many events this summer ie, Fish Fry, Sunday break-

fast, Lodge BBQ, Del Mar, Casino Bus trips, Karaoke, Family Picnic, and don't forget ElkToberfest. Details

are in this issue, or come to a meeting to keep up with the latest happenings.

Hope to see you all soon,

    Your Exalted Ruler- Reyne Rocha

    Aloha! Another great

month with a lot of new

    members and more to

    come. Car show

    was a huge success,

    Aloha Fridays is catch-

ing on. I was on vacation in Hawaii last

month and now I'm rejuvenated and

charged to do something good for the

    Lodge.

Didn't get the chance to visit our sister

lodge in Waikiki but next time for sure.

    Beautification projects will be started

by Matt Almaraz and looking forward

towards your support and help.Canned goods are always welcome

and buy a brick program needs your

    help.

We still could use a couple more vol-

unteers for hamburger nite to either

cook or be a substitute cook. We will

train you at no cost!! Would like to

thank our kitchen crews for their dedi-

cation and coming up with new menus.

Ernie and Arlene Santiago, Carl and

Charlotte Park, Richard and Ally Bara,

    Scott Nakashima and Melody Tongo-

    nan.

Welcome back our head chef and

    hamburger connoisseur Brad Gee.

Hope I didn't miss anyone, thanks

Bob. Welcome to our new server Ver-

na (Missy's sister) who will be serving

    you on hamburger nite.

    Remember to Please support lodge

activities to help the lodge flourish andgrow and make it a great place to be.

the members who have stepped up

to help at events .Big thanks
