With 20 years of extensive experience as a News & Commercial Photographer, I have been involved in photography most of my life. From taking my first images in Soweto in the 1980’s to covering the wars in the Sudan, Eritrea and Rwanda. I worked for over 15 years as a freelance front line photographer & video film maker with news pieces published by the BBC, CNN, the German ZDF and
Mohamed Amin’s VisNews news networks. During the past 6 years, I utilized my background in real time action and events photography and added a dedicated Commercial & Studio Photography component to my Portfolio. The services offered today specifically focus on Advertisement, Editorial, Model, Event, Nature and Product Photography. This includes the scouting of locations and model selection for final photo shoot procedures.
The equipment now operational in one of the most sophisti-cated photo studios in the region revolves around a set of all digital Nikon cameras - 12.5 Megapixel DX-CCD Nikon D 300S and 12.5 Megapixel DX-CCD Nikon D90.
My studio also features a fully mobile swiss made Elinchrom Ranger RX Photo Studio with 2 Digital Studio Flash Units of max. 1.000 Watt output, 2 Digital Studio Light Units in 350, 650 and 1000 Watt Configurations combined with a State of the Art Apple Macintosh Desktop and Laptop computer system as well as the latest Adobe Creative Suite (CS4 and CS5) software for digital photo editing purposes.
High end computer based digital photo editing in the con-text of Creative assignments is also an integral part of our Portfolio.
Add to this set-up a custom built Land Rover 110 Defender Production Unit with its own on board 220 Volt TrippLite Inverter system, fridge, long range Codan NGT-VR HF Radio short range Motorola VHF Radios and general safari equip-ment and one of the most sophisticated photo studios in East Africa goes instantly mobile and the capacity to pro-duce high-end all digital advertising or events photography at competitive rates anywhere in the EAU and beyond!

I envisioned the above logo not just as a classic icon of computer aided graphic design or even an example of the digitally mastered Art of photo editing.
This is also an homage to the men and women whose vision to explore new horizons, courage in the face of adversity and accomplishments against all odds remains the driving force behind Human Evolution!
I specifically honor - in Memoriam - the achievements of Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly across the Atlantic in 1928 and her attempt to fly around the World in 1937. I also honor the accomplishments of Bessie Cole-man, the first African American woman to obtain a pilots license in 1921.
