I N T R O D U C T I O N

Our beautifully refurbished 15th century church is truly

magical and is situated within the heart of the grounds and

gardens. The chapel offers the opportunity to celebrate your

marriage and re-affirm your vows in a traditional setting.

Sudeley Castle is licensed for civil ceremonies in the unique

and atmospheric Castle Library. The Library is a beautiful

room filled with antiques, fine art, tapestry and of course an

extensive collection of antique and rare books.

Outdoor wedding blessings can be held among the beautiful

grounds. We have several lawns and gardens which are

perfect for outdoor blessings - the Secret garden, Queens’

garden, Mulberry lawn or up on the ha-ha overlooking the

Castle – all offer the most picturesque of settings.

Following your ceremony, welcome your guests in the

formal Rose garden, bordered by huge ancient yew hedges.

A great selection of games and activities can be organised,

from vintage games to duck herding; there’s plenty of

options to keep guests of all ages entertained.

The picturesque castle and romantic ruins offer a striking

backdrop for your reception and wedding photographs.

There are countless photo opportunities around the

grounds, including access to the private castle area

and tithe barn.

The 10 beautiful gardens reflect the elegance and

tranquillity of the castle and are an ever-evolving

showcase, offering beautiful settings in every season.

Our grand Banqueting Hall and bright and airy Pavilion

provide spacious dining and celebration areas with

many more guests able to enjoy the large terrace and

pretty outdoor bar and barbecue area with stunning

views across the valley.

Beautifully presented and impeccably served, our

canapés, wedding breakfasts and evening food is

created with the best, locally-sourced produce wherever

possible. Sudeley’s highly regarded and experienced

Head Chef and Castle Kitchen catering team will work

with you to design your own menu for your perfect

meal. Wine packages are available to make your choices

so much easier too.

For the ultimate fairy-tale wedding, a bespoke marquee

on the private Castle Lawn is the most stunning way to

celebrate your wedding.

Our preferred marquee suppliers will enable you to

create your own perfect space with as much seating

capacity as you require.

Marquees are placed on our North Lawn, which boasts

grand views of the Castle and overlooks water lilies on

the carp pond. Enjoy dancing as the sun sets over the

castle and the Tithe Barn, to complete your perfect day.

Sudeley Castle is also a wonderful venue for

intimate weddings or vow renewals from 2 people

to up to 50 guests.

The historic Castle Library is perfectly sized for an

intimate civil ceremony and can be followed by a drinks

reception in the beautiful gardens.

The catering can be anything that you wish for, from light

canapes, a casual barbecue or a sit-down three course

meal in the Banqueting Hall, our in-house team will work

with you to help design and plan your perfect day.

S M A L L & I N T I M A T E W E D D I N G S

Sudeley has everything in one place, including

accommodation for up to 82 guests staying in our

Farmhouse, cottages or unique Gatehouse.

You can concentrate on getting ready and having fun

together in our calming and beautiful surroundings, all

within walking distance of the Castle and the pretty

village of Winchcombe with its country pubs, one-off

shops and salons. Stay for the weekend or even longer

and really get to know this world-renowned area.
