At Elite, our team of highly experienced professors are very much aware of the difficulties
faced by the students while preparing for such competitive examinations and have spared
no effort in preparing notes which are lucid, concise and easy to understand - a fact that is
repeatedly being acknowledged by our alumni. The course material is prepared by
thoroughly researching the subject as well as improvements made from previous exams.
Over the past 28 years, innumerable students have enrolled for these courses and
benefitted. It is your turn now. This prospectus will guide you through the rest of the

• The Joint CSIR-UGC Examination is conducted by the Council of Scientific and
Industrial Research and University Grants Commission jointly.
• The Joint CSIR-UGC examination will determine the eligibility of Indian National
candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for
appointment of Lecturers (LS) in certain subject areas falling under the faculties
of Science.
•
• The ELITE - JCU package has been designed with a view towards generating
supreme confidence for success at the CSIR-UGC examination.
• ELITE - JCU course is also useful to prepare for State Eligibility Test
(SET/SLET) of various States.
A candidate may apply either for ‘JRF+Lectureship’ both or for ‘Lecturership(LS) only’. CSIR may consider candidates applying for’JRF+LS’ for LS only’ depending
on number of fellowships available. If a candidate is found to be over-age for
JRF(NET) he/she will automatically be considered for Lectureship (NET)only.
Two separate merit lists, one comprising the candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET) and the second, of those candidates qualifying the Eligibility Test for Lectureship (LS-NET) will be made on the basis of their performance in the above test. Candidates qualifying for JRF(NET), will also be eligible for Lectureship (NET). The candidates qualifying for Lectureship will be eligible for recruitment as Lecturers as well as for JRF-ship in a Scheme/Project, if otherwise suitable as per the eligibility criteria of that Scheme/Project. However they will not be eligible for Regular JRF-NET Fellowship. They will be able to pursue Ph.D. programme with or without any fellowship other than JRF-NET. Candidates qualifying for the award of JRF(NET) will receive fellowship either from CSIR or UGC as per their assignment or from the Schemes with which they may find association.
