2016 CASH CALENDARNobles & Ladies,The 2016 CASH CALENDARS have been on sale since August. This year we are hoping to sell all 1200 of them. In order to do that we will need your help. Everyone knows someone who would buy a 2016 CASH CALENDAR all you have to do is ask them.
Don’t forget the 15% commission your unit or club will get for each calendar you sell. If your club sells 100 calendars or more you will get an additional $100 plus your
commission.Good luck and Sell, Sell, Sell.
Greetings Nobles,It does not seem possible that this is the last message I will be sending you as the Potentate of Elf Khurafeh Shrine. What an honor it has been.2015 has suddenly slipped by for Lady Dee and I way too fast. We would like to thank all for supporting us this year and wel-coming us into to your units, clubs, and into your homes. We have met many new friends, made them our dear friends. We have had the opportunity to travel and visit the Potentates and
Divan from other Shrine Centers as well as Imperial officers and tried our best to ce-ment relationships and further the cause of our philanthropy. Not only have we met Shrine members from throughout the U.S. and Canada, but also from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Philippines and Germany, also from our newly chartered Shrine Center, Bra-zil. What a wonderful year you have provided for Lady Dee and I.I thank you for your outstanding support in the 2015 projects and activities we spon-sored. There is not enough space left in this message to list all the Nobles, units, and clubs which have given their time and finances to make them a success, nor enough space to list all the accolades needed to describe our heartfelt thanks. We will just say THANK YOU ALL for your assistance in your very important part in any success we may have had.Nobles, many projects were completed for the betterment of our Shrine Center but many are still on the trestle board waiting for completion. As I promise you I will not be an unseen Past Potentate, I will work to see these projects completed.Nobles, Chief Rabban Dave Kartcher has an excellent Divan for you to work with in 2016. Please give them your assistance and support.Again, thank you so much for allowing me the honor of serving you as Potentate for 2015. As we prepare to say we will see you later rather than good-bye, Lady Dee and I would like to wish you and your family a veryMERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
Yours in the Faith, Chuck Frisby, Potentate, and First Lady Dee

Recorder’s MessageSeason’s Greetings Nobles, Can you believe 2015 has passed so quickly. A big congratulation to Ill. Sir Chuck and Lady Dee for their dedication to E. K. Shrine this year and the many accomplishments they achieved serving as Potentate and 1st Lady. THANK YOU Lady Dee and Sir Chuck for all the attention you gave to Elf Khurafeh Shrine this year and also for the years you dedicated your time and resources to Shri-ners International while preparing yourselves for 2015.Nobles please remember Election of 2016 Officers will take place on December 9, 2015 at Pulaski Hall in Saginaw; meeting will
start at 7:00 P.M… everyone’s vote counts. Chief Rabban Karcher has a great year planned for 2016 and he will comment on 2016 after the elections. Nobles, we need everyone’s help to stop the decline in membership at E.K. Shrine, December 31st we will be required to suspend from membership all Nobles that owe 2014 dues, currently that number is 48 Nobles. We have tried to contact these Nobles/Brothers many times this year to no avail. If they have a hardship they need to contact the Recorder. Nobles, we need to find new members for our Shrine to survive and continue to care for the Kids we transport to the Shrine Hospitals. Have you asked your friend to join Masonry or the Shrine lately? WHY NOT? The Circuses are all planned for January 2016 and we can always use your help at them, if you can, please come and help when you can. This is Elf Khurafeh’s largest fund raiser and all help is appreciated. Elf Khurafeh’s Telemedicine Room is now complete except for the Telemedi-cine Cart, we are asking for donations from members and non-members to fund this equipment. We plan to install a large wall plaque in the room for names of donors who contribute $500.00 or more. The total cost of the Cart is $28,000.00, but by the use of Telemedicine we can transmit to Shriners Hospital Chicago video and audio informa-tion of Shriner patients right from Circus Park in Clio saving many trips we make to Chicago that are 15 minute check-ups. Over $5,000.00 has been donated for this equipment so far. This is a 501c3 tax deductible contribution; please make your check payable to; E. K. Shrine Transportation Fund. Nobles, with elections coming, I thank you for allowing me to serve Elf Khurafeh Shrine as your Recorder for 2015 and ask for your vote on December 9, 2015 to allow me to continue as your Recorder in 2016.
Fraternally, Clarence W. Meyer, Jr., P.P., Recorder

White Pine SC presented a check for $3437.87 for paper and plaque sales at the busi-ness meeting November 4th. Additional plaque sales handled by our members were previously sent in. A big thank you to all the Nobles and helpers who made this possible. We plan to con-tinue our meetings through the winter, featuring more socializing and less business. This will provide opportunities for any visiting Masons not yet Shriners to get to know us and learn what we do. Let’s invite these Brothers to our meetings which are the second Thursday each month at local restaurants. They start at 6 PM. All Masons and their ladies are welcome. Please contact Warren Brewer for locations and details at 989-305-6580 or email Warren.Brewer@Prudential.

Hi everyone, as most of you know, I am a Lady Shriner. I will be High Priestess this coming April 2nd. My Fez is $488.00. El Said Court pays for $200.00 of it, but I have to pay for the rest. To help me pay for it I am going to sell Full size candy bars. Jim & I will have them at the different functions that we will be at.
I thank you in advance for helping me out.

Computer Updates!
Open letter to Nobles, Units and Clubs
As in all places associated with computers, there comes a time when major upgrades to ensure security must be made!
We are currently working at our shrine office using an outdated system, that when it was purchased, was considered to be adequate to handle the business at that time!
In today’s environment we find that it is no more than a system we would purchase for our children to attend college!
We can no longer function under the premise that we are not a business! EVERYTHING in our computers MUST BE PROTECTED to the max.! The only way we can do that is to install a system not only capable of blocking unwanted advances, but is also made to protect business related programs such as accounting, membership, and all other confidential information!
Our current system is now strained to the max, but holding its own! Its days are numbered. In an environment where people attempt to obtain information by using illegal means, it becomes even more important, to take every means possible to protect against it being an issue.
We ARE A BUSINESS and as such, we MUST PROTECT IT AT ALL COSTS. The very kids we help depend on us to remain a safe and reliable operating identity.
I’m asking for your support to bring this MAJOR PROBLEM, under control! If you or your Unit or Club can see its way clear to donate to this endeavor any amount that you can, to get the system needed. It will not only be greatly appreciated by your Shrine Center, but also by the kids we help by continuing to provide a safe place to seek medical assistance!
Please send in any donations to: Elf Khurafeh Shrine Center – Attn: Computer up Grade – P.O Box#1 – Clio, MI 48420 – 0001
Thank You for Your Time and Understanding!

What is a Telemedicine Cart?Where “Camera Caregiving” has come of age
In todays high tech world the concept of receiving quality health care from an experienced licensed physician without leaving home is not such a difficult one to conceive. In fact, an in-creasing number of physicians are opening up the paths of communications with their patients in a whole new way - providing consultations, drug prescriptions, and other health Services via the
Telemedicine pathways of the telephone, email, texting and video conferencing. The advantages made in high definition video conferencing and fast network connections have played the major role in the expansion of Telemedicine services on both the clinical and non-clinical levels. Clinicians are able to care for large patient populations, share information and research, educate their patients and even provide remote monitoring to reduce the cost of chronic care. Patients, on the other hand, have access to more information and data, reduced travel time
and anxiety, minimize time off from work and access to specialists as they are required.
