UBER ORIGINS
● 2008: On a snowy evening in Paris in 2008 the Founders-
Travis Kalanick and Garett Camp had trouble hailing a cab- so
they came up with an idea- tap a button, get a ride
● 2009- Present: Commenced as a black cab service but it
expanded to other products. Today Uber is present in 65
countries and 400+ cities.
● 2013- Uber launched in India with Bangalore being the first city
