Hi everyone and welcome to our Easter weekend! • We are on our fourth week of our series “Turn it Up” • For those of you who are joining us for the first time, we’ve been

turning up the volume here at CF Kids, because God’s Good News is for EVERYONE!

• So whether or not you come to church here every weekend, there is some GOOD NEWS that we want to share with you.

• Let’s get started by talking to God!

So let’s do a recap. So far we’ve learned that God Rules – He created all things and is in charge of all things. We sinned – people have decided to do things our own way instead of God’s way. We disobey God, and our sin has separated us from God. But He LOVES us so much that He provided a way for us to come back to Him. He did this by sending a Savior – a Rescuer! That’s what we are celebrating today. Let’s watch.

Sin is strong, but it’s not stronger than Christ’s power! You see, not just anyone could be the Savior. It’s not like God could call Anakin Skywalker to be “the chosen one”. Only someone, who was fully God, yet fully man could take the punishment for humanity! Only someone who was perfect and blameless could take our place on the cross. Only the TRUE Messiah could restore us to God again.

So Easter isn’t about a bunny! It’s about Jesus giving up His life to take the punishment for our sins. That leads us to our Need to Know for today. Say it with me:

o Jesus Gives! Jesus died for us, but He didn’t stay dead. Jesus rose again 3 days later! He came back to life! This is important because it shows that God accepted Jesus’ sacrifice for us as payment for our sin and that He has power over death!

I don’t know about you but that’s AMAZING news. When you are honest with God about your sins and tell Him that you are making Jesus the Lord of your life, you become a child of God! That darkness that was in your heart has turned to light. And so next week our celebration doesn’t end.

God has given us so much to be thankful for. A way we can worship God and thank Him for all He’s given to us is by giving an offering back to God. The church will use this money to help others know about the love of Jesus. If anyone has offering, please place it in (indicate area).
