Elementary #42 and Junior High #16 ABM Surveys
Katy ISD

Overview of the Study
Katy ISD’s mission is to work with families and our community to provide students with unparalleled learning experiences. To that end, Katy ISD is currently, and over the new few years, reviewing and considering attendance boundary modifications (ABMs) to address the District's rapid student growth. Starting in June, the District shared information about upcoming Attendance Boundary Modification proposals for Elementary # 42 and Junior High # 16.
K12 Insight emailed individual invitations with survey links to Katy ISD parents and community members. Individuals who contacted the District or K12 Insight because they had not received an email invitation were given a link to participate in the survey. The survey could also be accessed via a public URL posted on the District’s website. The surveys were also available in Spanish.
This report reflects survey results from June 20 – September 11, 2018. The survey is still currently open and is anticipated to close in October. Reminders were sent to those who had not yet taken the survey on July 3 and 18, August 1 and 15, and additional reminders will continue to be sent bi-weekly until the close of the survey.
This report summarizes survey results. Results do not reflect random sampling; therefore, they should not be generalized to all members of the Katy ISD community. Rather, results reflect only the perceptions and opinions of survey participants.
