For the test, the soil is loaded and unlo-aded in fixed steps using a circular loa-ding plate and a hydraulic loadingdevice. The normal stress below theplate and the corresponding deflec-tions of the plate are recorded andshown in a diagram. The electronicdevice AX 01 is the simple solution todetermine the strain moduli Ev2 andEv1 (a figure for the bearing capacity)and the ratio Ev2/Ev1 (a figure for thecompaction level).

The results of the test are evaluatedimmediately, shown at the display, andprinted with the built-in thermo printerat the road-works. It is usable evenunder bad environmental conditions –e.g. in rain – because of the rain pro-ofed case, a illuminated display andbuttons at the outside. The test results– stored at the smart card – can be usedwith Microsoft Excel.

The unrivalled AX01 feature is itsoutstanding and stainless pro-duct design. It is equipped withruggedised and rain proofedindustrial sensors to achieve pre-cision test results.

Due to the compact design of thetest tripod the device fits in thecar boot.
