Situation:


Description of installation:

Approximately 10 km from Copenhagen city centre in a densely populated residential area called Brøndby. A single-family detached house of app. 150 sqm. The frequency of burglaries is low in the area - the homeowners have never suffered any burglary during their period of residence though they have experienced it on another location. The house is inhabited by a married couple in their mid fifties – the children have moved out.

No alarm is installed. However, for preventive causes warning signs (alarm system) from prior owner have not been removed. The house is equipped with three terrace doors and six windows all installed with SecuYou locks. The remote control is visually stationed at the front door reminding the user to push the button when leaving the house. The homeowner especially likes the home-lock feature and the feedback in case a window is open. Very often the bathroom window is left open in order to ventilate after showering in the morning.


Showcase - Light Commercial


Situation: Situated in a commercial area about 8 km from the Copenhagen city center at the junction of a highway and a freeway.

Description of building: The two-story commercial building is of about 1,000 sqm. Most of the space is used for display and promotion of bicycles, attire and other relevant articles. The owner has experienced numerous burglaries with theft of expensive goods. Recently the building was renovated with new windows, lattice and SecuYou locks to prevent further break-ins.

Description of installation: Alarm installed in two-story building. The commercial building has 74 SecuYou locks – one on each window. A set of three central remote controls communicates with all locks. On several occasions, a burglar has opened a window during opening hours in order to return during the night to enter the same window, if the owner has forgotten to close it. Today, the owner can be sure that all windows are closed and locked without having to check every single window before closing the shop.
