What is BoardDocs

BoardDocs provides a means of immediately publishing and revising agenda items, support documents, policies and procedures via the Internet. BoardDocs improves governance by making documents readily available to the board members, designated staff and the public in a professional, easy to access format.

A Brief History

• Initially developed by Emerald Data Solutions in partnership with Marietta City Schools administration and school board.

• First paperless meeting in January 2001 • BoardDocs first Introduced in Georgia in January 2002• National Marketing Program started in June 2002• Started working with Associations in 2003• Close to 300 Organizations have Selected BoardDocs

Document Database Technology

Document Publishing

• Publish to the document store database using custom interface or the web.

• Designated administrators can submit draft agenda items

• Document Publisher(s), publish the documents, designate a meeting and place them directly into the agenda

• Publish and Manage from one simple screen• Text can be entered or pasted from other documents

• Rich formatting including font, paragraph and list options

• Spell checker is included

Meta Search

• Allows Board Members and Designated Administrators to search public documents of other BoardDocs.com subscribers

• Provides valuable “Best Practices” resource to assist in governance

• Ability to view active policies and public agenda items• Can review published bids and pricing considered by other
