Document types

Various document types are

available in DXC EDI – 3PL for D365.

Easily define templates, settings/

parameters, validation profiles, field

metadata and outbound filenames

and assign to 3PL on Trading Partner

setup.

Advice 3PL warehouse of sales

and transfer orders to be picked

and update D365 with picking

acknowledgement.

Advice 3PL warehouse of incoming

stock receipts via purchase orders,

transfers orders and inbound

shipments utilizing DXC Inbound

transportation management

(ITM). Update D365 with receipt

acknowledgements.

Update D365 on-hand inventory

with inventory adjustments from 3PL.

Document mapping

For Text documents specify the

columns within the file that are to be

mapped to D365. Can also set static

values for outbound documents.

Function: Option to apply any

of the following functions to the

mapping, dependent on the type

of field.

Document setting profiles

Easily configure business process

logic for each document and trading

partner.

Selection comprises of 3PL’s batch update being allowed, auto posting

transactions and 3PL stock adjustments.

Picking list registration:

• Allow short pick - Where the pick list registration is less than the original pick list

quantity, select the validation type

Shipment Receipt:

• Where the batch id received is different to batch id in the shipment advice,

select the validation type

Options:

• Allow (Batch must exist)

• Warning (Batch must exist)

Document validation profiles

Validation profiles are groups of

business validation rules that can be

applied to a trading partner. They

provide the ability to set variable

tolerances on various aspects of the

documents business process.

Outbound filenames

The module allows per document

type many different file name masks

to be configured and one to be

specified on the trading partners

setup.

A file name mask can have

information from fields within the

document embedded so file name

uniqueness and readability can be

achieved.
