Review

In the video the glass rod becomes positively charge. When the rod approaches the pretzelscope the

leaves separate, the person grounds the scope (leaves fall) then removes

the rod, the leaves separate and remain separated. Why does this

occur? Draw a diagram of the end result.

Remember only electrons are mobile

ReviewA frictionless cart with mass of 80kg rolls down a track from a height of 20 meters from the ground, what is the velocity of the cart when it reaches ground level?

Electroscope

Draw a diagram representing the charge in the electroscope (assume a negatively charged comb). What is the method used to charge the electroscope? What other method could be used?

Review

Calculate the work done to move an electron from one point to another in

household circuit (120V).

An electric field is measured using a positive test charge of 3x10^-6 C. The test charge experiences a force of .12N at an

angle of 15 degrees north of east. What are the magnitude and direction of the electric field strength at the location of

the test charge.

Review

Draw the electric field around the two charges.

Find the resistance of an aluminum conductor (cylindrical)

2 meters long with a diameter of .25 meters.

An electron is deflected upward between the plates. Draw the

electric field.

Review

To increase the brightness of a desk lamp, a student replaces a 60-watt light bulb with a 100-watt bulb. Calculate and compare the current and resistance for the two bulbs. Remember the voltage of a household circuit.

Review – Series Circuits

Draw and label a circuit diagram for the given image. If the battery is 3V and the bulbs each have an internal resistance of 11ohms, calculate the current within the circuit.

Review – Series and Parallel

Calculate the equivalent resistance of the circuit, the voltage drop for R1 and R2, and total current.

Domains

A cannonball is fired from ground level at an angle of 60 degrees and with a speed of 72

m/s. A. What is the time of flight?

Neglect friction

Review

Draw the magnetic field around the conductor.

The x means into the page.
